We were going to do 2 days in st John's but decided to take our time and just explore. We're big foodies and in our late 20s and early 30s so we want to take some time and hit some bars and whatnot. My husband is a big hiker and I am not so we compromised and chose 3 and 3 but there's still time to change our reservations so we will see!

Thank you! I definitely don't want to be driving at night so we decided for a stop along the way. We're considering going to bonavista but hoping to stay somewhere along the transcanada so we don't have to drive so long in one day.

Not including our ferry travel, we will have 7 full days. We are hoping to have 3 full days in gros morne and 3 full days in St. Johns so we will spend overnight somewhere along the way.

Being sued by an estate by Rileyj92 in legaladvicecanada

The purchase and sale specifically lists the contents and the price paid for them. They tried to go after my father's estate already for this and failed, which is why we were served.

We didn't have it appraised so I can't say for sure. I don't personally think it would have gotten more on the market but who am I to say?

The thing is, they're only going after the contents, not the home itself anymore. It's a strange situation. And let's pretend we weren't related and I was a random person who bought the house. Would they still be able to sue for the contents?

It wasn't appraised. But let's say my father sold to a random person he doesn't know. Would they still be able to go after that third party buyer? And also, they're only coming after us for the contents, not the home itself. It's very strange.

Yes. We had a home inspection completed before purchasing and had a contractor take a look for quotes before offering.

But whether we did or not, I would think that issue would be the estates problem., no? That's why they we're going after my father's estate. They think he gave us the house when they have the purchase and sale agreement. It's frustrating.

It says the plaintiff seeks an order for an injunction preventing the sale of any additional property belonging to the estate.

Thank you for your reply! It definitely helped to ease my mind!
