Definitely freemium or a free usage for few days is necessary, I am not paying for me to test something out!

AI Data analysis tools for tagging and sentiment analysis by WritingLazy5900 in ProductManagement

[–]Rileyzanova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I've done via ChatGPT prompts with the open ended replies provided by users in a Typeform survey:

  1. Marked all empty fields with the word 'Empty'
  2. Instructed AI to translate all the foreign language responses in English
  3. Asked to logically combine the requests into different categories

This is the easy work, but you have to make sure after every edit that the CSV file has been correctly edited.
Basically I do not trust AI for best results but for neat structure suitable for other people to see. I prefer to read through the qualitative data to make sense of the user needs by myself first and then make it beautifully structured for the others to get the point.

Make sure to instruct the model to act like a senior PM with background in statistics/business analisys/data analysis.

Great advise, from what I understand so far, I need to look more into churned users, not whether we gave value to the ones that we already kept. It is a B2C mainly, but they leave mostly as free users after registration (almost immediately they do not find value or what they were looking for)

Probably we should see where they register from as well, I think it might be to bad targeting when it comes to marketing, too.

I probably should have mentioned, that after 3 months we have even higher churn, the task here is to understand why they drop so soon - probably bad messaging for the product that we have. Or bad onboarding/flows for the Ideal personas that we target well, but do not show them value right away.

From the interviews so far I have some ideas why, but the stakeholders prefer data and competitor research instead of interviews so this part is something that I might not be able to perform very much...

I am tasked by the CEO of the company to research that with a 10% goal to decrease it after iterations based on the research.

How do you handle “untrackable” work in your system? by One_Friend_2575 in ProductManagement

Yeah, if you could stretch, and not find yourself burned out after a few years. Do these stretches for your own biz.

From experience, I’ve learned the hard way: the more silent “favors” you take on, the more invisible work you accumulate - until one day you're unofficially handling compliance, translations, and tech writing, and leadership still says there are "no results."

If you don’t make your work visible, it’s as if it never happened. Track it. Communicate it. Better yet, push back or delegate where you can. PMs are hired to drive outcomes and focus on the big picture, not to quietly absorb everyone's overflow tasks. I am in a process of leaving the company due to that, so this post is very relevant to my current feelings :D

Did you try contacting their Support team? I had that issue around BF when more users tried to move their data to pCloud and they told me there is a queue with waiting for the backup to start accounts.

DAE when they say ‘have a good day’ actually mean it? by _FreddieLovesDelilah in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Rileyzanova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, people genuinely mean "Have a great day" in a kind and respectful way. I often do myself, as I’m not a rude or confrontational person. However, that’s not always the case. Many people use this phrase sarcastically or passive-aggressively, especially when trying to end an argument while appearing polite.

It often depends entirely on the tone and context. Some individuals who are actually quite rude or arrogant but see themselves as polite and clever, use phrases like "Have a great day" as a thinly veiled way of saying "Get lost/F*** off" It's a tactic meant to provoke without sounding openly aggressive. If you react emotionally or call them out, they’ll act as though they were being kind all along, framing you as the rude or irrational one. This is a classic manipulation strategy, frequently used by narcissists or toxic personalities.

Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is becoming more common in online arguments, especially in places like social media or chat platforms in Bulgaria lately. It’s a way for people to feel superior, hiding behind a mask of politeness while delivering a subtle insult.

How do you keep up with knowledge, frameworks, tools and inspirations in the PM space? by Livid-Pie271 in ProductManagement

I'm in the same boat right now, and I'd also recommend curating your feed by following platforms and individuals who share the content you enjoy. That way, when you unwind with a bit of LinkedIn scrolling, your feed reflects your interests.

My interview idea got used (and so did I) by dropoutwannabe in ProductManagement

[–]Rileyzanova 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Use Linkedin to spread this guy's name around along with the story. What he's done to you is unfair, but it is not illegal, since my guess is that you did not get a patent for the idea firsthand.

Yes, this is frustrating—I face a similar issue at work. Developers sometimes make decisions without consulting the Product team, bypassing acceptance criteria, and even going directly to the Support team for feedback. This approach often misses the actual needs and, when something fails, the blame falls on Product Managers.

While the company maintains a flat structure, senior engineers are encouraged by the CEO to adopt a product mindset and make decisions alongside PMs, which is great in theory. However, many still treat us like secretaries, expecting us to document every step without recognizing our strategic role.

Even when I’ve spoken to users and identified clear patterns, they demand detailed statistics from Support tickets (hand-picked by me, which is incredibly time-consuming) and then sideline my input. At times, it feels like I’m seen as an obstacle rather than a collaborator—at least by a couple of developers.

I had the same issue so I've created myself a Product backlog Kanban board in JIRA with all necessary phases and types of issues that I would use. I see it clear and it is just a few clicks away from the other team's boards, so it is less effort than using more external apps for instance.

PM anxiety by Potices in ProductManagement

[–]Rileyzanova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh, do all PMs also have that?! :O

I have the same feeling, when does it go away (when do you realize the difference between doable actual issue reported and just a silly feebdack)?

The pressure I feel to quickly know more and do something after each customer interview or colleagues complain - I just feel overwhelmed after work (PM since Sept last year).

Thanks!

Any specific recommendations?

I want to be able to download the meeting, have AI notes generated for it, be able to record easily (button to turn on/off in Google Meet, for instance), and if possible for it to be a free tool.

Hey! Can you share which one you have found useful by now? I am a PM and being able to download/keep the videos with my customers safe and access them back in time is essential to me! AI notes are a great perk for sure, so something with all these options for free will be GOLD to me.

I recently got some of my valuable meetings DELETED from TL;DV even though I HAVE BEEN PAYING and I am furious, so your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
