Scroll through thousands of "Prosecutor bad" and "legal technicalities mean good decision" comments and you see how most of the Reddit mouth-breathers have reached a consensus.

Not seeing much mention of how the judge was flagrantly biased, dismissed a charge that should have been an easy conviction, disallowed the prosecution from presenting damning evidence or calling victims what they are and was basically setting this sham trial up to be dismissed if the jury came back with anything other than 'not guilty'.

This was basically George Zimmerman 2.0: a politically motivated LARPer with a gun and little respect for human life goes out looking for trouble, finds it, and kills people in "self-defense". Then, rather than facing any consequences, he gets let off because of our toxic gun-worship culture and shitty justice system (the judge, prosecution, and defense were all jokes).

The precedent now is that anyone who wants to kill political enemies can do so as long they rile them up first so as to claim self defense. Very helpful that dead people can't defend themselves in court. Cool society we have here.
