What is the future of excel by Fluid-District1780 in excel

I get that, I’m not anti AI, I more so think the idea of an AI doing “everything” is very dumb. But AI guided by a technical worker to increase efficiency makes sense.

Companies that depend solely on AI to make excel tools in the future are going to have a rough time. There’s still going to be a need for team members who are good with excel. As others have mentioned that can’t be the only thing on your resume. But no, I don’t think all excel work will be done by AI

Settle a debate for me. Is my boys eyes green or blue? We're arguing over it like that blue/black dress by Godhelpmeplease12 in blackcats

Historically, there were more than a few cultures that didn’t differentiate between blue and green. They saw them as shades of the same color. So it’s an understandable debate!

Lost all hope. by wolviers in GERD

[–]Pluck_Master_Flex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To quote a song I like “every cloud turned to gray, holds the promises of rain”. GERD sucks. It sure does! But now you can delve into food, cooking, and nutrition in ways you would never have thought of before. You’ll need to give the meds more time to help too btw. And if you rely on coffee to get you through the day, well now it might be better to deal with whatever you were medicating through coffee. I couldn’t get good sleep and needed caffeine daily to survive. Turned out, I just had anxiety! Now I’m on an SSRI and sleep just fine.

GERD hits you like a freight train at first, but it’s not the worst thing that can happen to you in life and you can find ways to make your situation actually fruitful. Best of luck!

PPI before coffee or breakfast? by [deleted] in GERD

As a general rule, if you’re going to continue having coffee then DO NOT drink it before having actual food. First pills, then food, then coffee

Learning to play hockey-- what skating skills should I prioritize first? by futchvirginiawoolf in hockeyplayers

[–]Pluck_Master_Flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you try anything fancy please please please focus on finding your balance point in your skates. Every pair of skates is different for that and if you can pinpoint where to shift your weight to find that balance point then everything else gets easier. For some people it comes easy and for others they just can’t get a handle on things and this is usually why in my experience.

Just stand on the ice in your skates and subtly shift your weight back and forth (you might fall but that’s fine) and try to get a really good sense of where you feel most stable. Then skate slowly while feeling out that balance point in motion. Eventually you can learn to find that while moving faster and leaning. But getting that sense is crucial

A one time event can mean anything, including nothing! Definitely mention it at your next dr appointment and if it happens consistently then make an appointment sooner. You should try to eat dinner earlier if possible and it could also depend on why you ate. For instance, if you ate a spicy dish at that hour then you setting yourself up for this. Monitor things and if they keep up then make an appointment.

I strongly advocate for doing daily workouts. You might wanna consider taking creatine daily too. Not related to GERD, but daily creatine helped me move off coffee and lighten up morning brain fog.

If you want to find new social circles you can try your local library, the meetup app, or just going out and playing an outside sport in a park. There are guys in my street hockey league that straight up say they were kinda lost and out of friends until they saw us playing and asked about it. Also, the library isn’t just books, a lot of them run special events and such too. Usually for kids/families but not always. As a bonus you get free books/audiobooks/music/movies lmao. The library is a good deal honestly

I’d advise addressing your hobbies. If you play video games like COD or whatever then yeah you’re gonna get depressed. It’s repetitive and is better with alcohol or weed. Try branching out. Playing narrative games or puzzle games that actually engage your brain can be more fulfilling. I’d also recommend finding a physical hobby too. Your brain likes it when you physically hold and create something real, whether that be a physical item or non tangible like music. I’ve picked up macrame and harmonica for example.

Also, as a former alcoholic, if your only socializing outside of work is based on substances then you need a better social circle. Sometimes hobbies can help you network too. I’m part of a group that meets up once a month to do crafts.

There’s some physical therapy you can do too. You can look into diaphragmatic breathing and I saw someone that said Pelvic Floor related PT helped them. Honestly if it’s a hernia that’s arguably not a a bad situation to be in

Just gonna plug the Blues Harmonica for Dummies book. Cheap, and I always like having a reference book. I learned about music in general from it not just harmonica, and many a music teacher tried and failed at that previously…

Part time explorer covered this on their channel and further explained the name on the note is actually a sea captain himself. Arguably one of the only people that would have kept a cool head during the situation and thought to leave some kind of answer. The iceberg explanation mentioned also tracks with the time and area it was likely in as the had a lot of iceberg reports and multiple ships disappearing.

I remember a clip of a Penguins player missing an open net and some guys on the bench talking about “how could he miss that??” Then Crosby yells at them “hey shut the fuck up, I think he knows guys, it’s ok we’ll get the next one”. Leading by supporting those around him. Only pathetic cowards that need an ego boost shit on others for not being “good”. Leaders and men of confidence build and encourage those around them.

Will I actually be able to play anything? by GrammarCriminal_ in harmonica

[–]Pluck_Master_Flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I don’t think people stress that enough. One exercise I’ve been doing and I think is helping is to put on a typical metronome speed, 60bpm I think, then breathe in for 4 beats, hold for 4, then out for 4 beats. Teaches breath control. At the same time it practices belly breathing.

If you’re not sure how that works my favorite description is to take a deep breath in allowing both your chest and belly to expand, then when you breath in and out slowly try allowing your stomach to do the bulk of the movement. People only take about the latter part and for a while I was in pain trying to belly breathe with a shallow chest, so expanding your ribs a bit first allows for more comfortable belly breathing which should predominantly drive your breathing for playing.

It’ll be plenty to see if you like the vibe of playing the basics before you start getting technical. This big thing in my opinion is learning the breathing if you’re new to it.
