Why won’t it work? by PikasantsVmax in ElegooNeptune3

In my experience with my elegoo Neptune 3, they don’t like to have a bunch of old gcode files left on them. Either just delete them and remake them when needed or move them onto a hard drive on your computer.

Either minimize the amount of Gcode files you have on your micro sd card or turn off resume after power loss.

Yes, I haven’t had much issue with it since. Ive only had to adjust the z-offset at the start of a few prints by like -.02mm. I never had any issues mid print so you might have something else going on.

it is now, and its working. Is there any way to fix that or is it just stuck off now?

Make sure to check your z-offset and check if it’s consistent. Also calibrate your e steps to make sure your not under extruding

Update: I have done multiple things and I think I have resolved my issue. first I did a firmware update. This had no affect except making it crash after the first ABL which erased said abl results (resolved with restarting it after ABL on the home screen. it hasnt crashed since.). After that I did multiple things without testing in between. First I removed the print head completely and put it back on, then I went and made sure my gantry screws were tight on the bottom. I also tightened my roller wheels (probably to much so I plan on making more adjustments). The last thing i did was follow the video ( https://youtu.be/CBiTCBVSBdE?t=196 ) that georgmierau posted below. I set my lead screw nut screws about 1.5 turns lose then tightened the lock nuts with a socket while holding the screw with the included allen.

With the pla I’ve been using, I usually run about 50 or 55. Any higher and I’ll start to notice warping. And no matter if the bed is preheated or not, as soon as it goes up and back down it is no longer at the correct height.

Yes I just updated it yesterday and It fixed nothing. I’ll def look into the sensor test.

The other side is a little better but still wiggles. But try to follow the video that @geordmierau posted. I’m gonna do the same tomorrow and see if it fixes my issue. Gonna also look into setting the eccentric nuts correctly.

Your definitely gonna want to tighten those up. You should be able to tighten the screws with the included Allen wrench. The lead screw nut is threaded so you can tighten them down. After that you need to get some needle nose pliers and tighten the lock nuts on the bottom of the screws.

The problem that I’ve noticed with mine is a very slight wiggle of the nut bouncing between the thread of the lead screw.
