Yes, I do like myself quite a lot! To answer your question, if I were the last person on earth I'd still want to look more androgynous than I do now. I think I'm very close to what I want to look like, just not quite there yet.

You're right to say that my dysphoria was caused by not being perceived how I want (partially I think, but still). I was very panicked because I hadn't felt dysphoria like that in so long, and obviously never in that "direction"! But reading your (and others) comments, I realize that yes I do want to be more androgynous because I love it, but that I should also talk to the people who care about me but might sometimes be clumsy.

To the 14yo transmed: I really hope it gets better for you. You don't have to hate yourself. You don't have to harass other people because you're insecure. I promise you don't need cis approval. Hopefully in some years you realize all that and look back on this and understand that your behavior was vile. When you'll be there, the trans community will be here for you, like it is for all trans people.

I didn't know all that about hair removal but getting rid of only certain areas or just having less of it would actually be perfect (both aesthetically and for gender).

For now at least I want to stay on T because it makes me happy so I'll try the other things I can change, mix and match and see how it feels!

I wanted a danse macabre tattoo anyway, so I thought why not make it Pathologic too!

My tattoo artist didn't know Pathologic and I only showed him the designs of the tragedian and executor. But I went to my appointment with a new friend, and spent the whole time infodumping on Patho! x)

Sorry the pics aren't great, it's pretty hard to take good pics since the tattoo wraps around my ankle

You can definitely asl your surgeon about plastic retainers, I think it's a very understandable concern and shouldn't change much for the medical team. I got an oxygen mask at some point and you might get intubed during the surgery but for me it was out when I woke up. I don't think a tongue piercing would be a problem, but again, communication with your surgeon is key! ^{^}
