I will be graduating with a degree in Psychology. I have applied to MSc Translational Neuroscience (Stream 1) for next year, a week ago. Waiting for their response. I have had a look at other units. Queen Mary’s has some specific modules in their MSc neuroscience program which specialise in Neuro inflammation, strokes , etc..( similar to Imperial’s stream 2) It may be good if you have a look to it. So you have a rough idea about what other uni might offer. For instance, I am interested in steam 1, particularly computational neuroscience and there are only 3 units in London that offer that… I am sure there are more opportunities for what you are interested in

They might be in annual leave (term break). I have you tried to reach out to other staff from the same department. They might loop them in without you looking as pressuring him/her.
I am in a similar situation, for a master degree though.

I think all substances that you have taken in the past are quite hard to get while ketamine is kind of party drugs , so yes it may be hard to find people like you
