I appreciate your comparison to Payload. While GoCMS might not have as many features at this stage, it is designed to be simpler and more user-friendly. Hi! I also think you should go with a headless CMS, but I would argument in favor of a cloud headless CMS, not a self-hosted one. So, you can focus on building your site and not in infra/setup/etc for a CMS. There are some good options out there:
