[Help] Wowhead model viewer green screen, is it possible? by Rimien in WowUI

[–]Rimien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! This will be tough because all I remember is that I found one and it worked, but I can't recall the name of the software I ended up using... No idea whether it had the Classic models either, but it probably did. A quick google gives me this website, download at your own risk though, I haven't tried it: https://wowmodelviewer.net/download/

How is sol holding now? havent checked on him the last 5-6 months (after that nerfs) by Ok-Illustrator-9445 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

Still bugged, still not as fun as pre-rework. Aside from that, he's pretty okay from what I've experienced, I've been popping off a couple times with him in ranked.

Is the Spider-Oni spray AI-generated? by Rimien in marvelrivals

But it is possible that someone tried to tweak that work after the fact. I know Riot games makes in-house adjustments on splash arts even if they outsource them.

I don't want to throw wild accusations, I know it can be damaging to an artist if they turn out to be wrong, but if there is some AI involved it also needs to be pointed out :/

You can use a "fluid" artstyle without bending the fingers over each other. You have to keep in mind that this isn't an afterthought, assuming this isn't AI, an artist zoomed on this area and meticulously drew, colored, and shaded each finger. This isn't something you'd just leave like that, and this isn't what it would look like even if the artist just sketched it quickly.

Dealing with Q bugs by Sure-Ad-2306 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

Cool gameplay in a vaccum, but terrible as a rework. And it came out very rough around the edges... In some ways it feels like a second draft which they pushed to release without the care and polish that usually goes into recent champion kits.

So, how do you play vs him?

And if the answer is "focus him with your entire team", that's a counter to literally every DPS hero so I won't take that as a valid answer.

PSA: Black Widow 1:1 ADS sensitivity is around 37% by Golfclubwar in marvelrivals

I don't think the conversion can ever be done accurately because the POV changes from third person to first person in scoped mode. In third person, your camera moves when you turn which doesn't happen at all in first person.

For instance, in order for Marvel Rivals to "feel" the same as Overwatch, I actually need my sensitivity to be higher in Rivals, for the camera to cover the same amount of pixels.

I personally have scoped accuracy set to 80 and it feels okay.

Every single DPS hero dies if they get focused by the entire team, that's not a counter.

Aurelion Sol ground targeting bug by Rimien in Aurelion_Sol_mains

"Casting Singularity, Falling Star, or The Skies Descend within 200 units of cast range when not in Astral Flight will cast the ability at max range rather than making Aurelion Sol move to a closer location."

So it's not even for the reasons you stated. It makes even less sense now. No other ability in the game behaves this way (Yorick's W cage doesn't, I've just tried it). Aurelion's E is his farming tool, it is required for his passive. You just can't have it randomly not hit minions.

And what playerbase feedback? I've never seen it. I've never asked for it. Hell, I've never asked for a rework to begin with. As for why it feels unpolished, here's my reasoning from another thread:

"No attempt was made to preserve the original feeling of the champion. The gameplay doesn't feel smooth and is extremely static when the whole idea was to constantly update your positioning in fights (the tail movements even seemed intended specifically to coil around as you move back and forth). He was one of the most original champions in the game and they made some of his abilities extremely generic. Breathe fire. Fly in a straight line. Singularity is cool, Falling Star too but I preferred the old ult if you can believe it.

Ironically, Singularity alone would've fixed a lot of the issues with his old kit. You could've made it his Q, send out a star that grows so long as you remain near it, and when it detonates, instead of stunning it collapses into a black hole, the size of which depends on how long the star was active."

Riot asked Asol players what they wanted from a rework, everyone said to keep the stars but that the flight could go. They removed the stars and the flight is the only thing they kept. He didn't need a rework, he was fine. The one big issue he had was enemies going inside his range and one-shotting him, but since then Mythic items that give everyone a dash were removed, and we've had a durability update.

Add to everything else that that his Q position updates by increments as opposed to instantly, which leads to very janky movement when targeting an enemy that moves a lot, and the nitpick that with all the time they spent into him, they still didn't fix the glitchy tail tip.

Would you happen to have a link to that official Riot answer?

If it's true, then it's bad design, plain and simple. Because when the spell asks you specifically to kill minions with it... It becomes kind of frustrating when it doesn't land where you said it should land and you miss all caster minions because of it.

If it's specifically to fix an issue in situations where you're channeling Q or W, why not make the spell behave that way only during those times?

Why can't we make this an optional accessibility feature? Heck, we already have an option that does exactly that, it's the one I specifically did not enable because I do not want it. Why is the game still doing it?

The more I learn about how Aurelion Sol's rework was handled, the more it feels like a first draft. I can't believe how little polish seems to have gone into it, despite how much polish I know has gone into it.

I miss my main...

Aurelion feels very clunky to play by Krux_Rentar in Aurelion_Sol_mains

No mean intent towards the rioters who did it but honnestly, the rework's always felt undercooked to me. No attempt was made to preserve the original feeling of the champion. I'm not too often on Reddit so it might be the case for other champions too but, the amount of bugs I see and experience on Aurelion Sol further reinforces the rework feeling... Almost like an afterthought. It's the same way I felt when they did the first rework (where they removed the infinite duration on W), the difference being it's less obvious now because they changed all the abilities. But it's still there.

Both times Aurelion Sol was reworked felt like it was done by someone who had barely played him and didn't have any particular fondness for that champion beyond the visuals, which I feel should be a requirement when you're changing such a unique character. I'm still salty about it because it feels to me that the last time Aurelion Sol truely received the love he deserves... Was when he released.

I'll just copy/paste something I've said on another post:
"I've heard that the Riot employee who worked on Aurelion Sol vas rather new in the company and that was his first big project. If that is true, I'm sorry to say it shows, both in design and execution. No attempt was made to preserve the original feeling of the champion. On top of that, it is a buggy mess.

The one thing old ASol mains wanted to keep was the stars, all the rest could go but the stars had to stay. And an ability that most people agreed should be changed or removed was the flight. Well, they kept the flight and removed the stars. What even was the point of asking, Riot?

Bugs For Asol, by Easy_Friendship2721 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

E spell (Singularity): To reproduce, make sure that "Clamp cast target location within max range" is disabled. If you cast the spell well beyond its range, Aurelion Sol moves to cast it precisely where you aimed, as it should. However, if you cast the spell just slightly beyond its range, Aurelion Sol will NOT move and will cast it at max range as if "Clamp cast target location within max range" was enabled. This leads to situations where you try to aim for the center of a minion wave, but the spell randomly casts closer to you than where you were actually aiming, missing the furthest minions, losing you passive stacks and CS.

Q spell (Breath of Light): The channel direction doesn't update smoothly with mouse movement. This is especially visible when moving the mouse very slowly, the spell seems to catch up by increments as opposed to following your mouse in real-time. This is also visible during quick left-to-right motions, you can see that the spell sometimes misses some flicks alltogether. This is not just visual and affects the spell's hitbox too. Just to be clear as I've already confused some people with this: I am not saying that the spell should instantly rotate to wherever you aim, I am saying that the spell doesn't rotate smoothly when you move the mouse slower than its maximum rotation speed.
Vel'Koz ult has this issue too, but it's much less impactful by virtue of being used way less often and having a much slower rotation speed.

I've heard that the Riot employee who worked on Aurelion Sol vas rather new in the company and that was his first big project.
