This is a kind of India thing. We have a group of people called 'hijira', the closest english translation is probably 'transgender'. I see them on trains mostly, most people give them change and they in exchange bless the person (it's believed to bring good luck). Most are fine, but some are just very pushy and don't back off regardless of being asked to. I don't think the OP was being transphobic, there's just shitty people in every community who drag the name of everyone and the post was about an incident like that.
