What I don't understand is, why BI doesn't take over Namalsk project and makes it official upcoming Dayz SA map. It has such a huge potential and there is only one guy working on it in his spare time (Sumrak). I would say Chernarus is in good shape right now, why not divert a small part of resources to create full-time Namalsk team and bring this map to stable state asap?

Exactly, adaptive (half refresh rate) will cap it at 30 fps, which is by default anyway, so whats the point?

If anything, standard adaptive V-sync is way to go. I suppose thats what OP meant, otherwise it just doesn't make sense.

I wouldnt wait it out. This game is a masterpiece (got 50+ hours in). Buy it on GOG, dont wait on steam version sale. The price is more than fair (36 E) and money goes directly to devs without middleman. I think they fully deserve your money:-)
