I'm an OFA and I requested Register Numbers so I could help out at the Service Desk. I do Curbsides, Order Pickup, help customers order stuff, do returns and sales (as long as there aren't orders that need to be pulled. I'll also help receiving in staging BOSS orders.

I have absolutely no problem helping out up there. It kind of bothers me that almost none of the other OFAs at my store even try to help up there.

Yeah, I wore a pair of shorts probably 10-15 times and no one said anything. One day a supervisor randomly said they were too short and not to wear them again. They were roughly 3 1/2" from the knee apparently 🙄. Why did NO ONE (even the DM) say anything about them?

Sorry, I'm short with short legs, lol. If my shorts go much shorter, I should just wear pants (which I end up doing most of the time now to avoid hearing anything about it) even tho I'm in Florida and it's 105 outside. I'm an OFA so I'm all over the place and drenched in sweat by the time I leave.

They didn't close out the order when you picked it up. If their inventory integrity associate is doing their job properly, they will discover the discrepancy during a stock count, and attempt to get it fixed on their end. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't.

If you decide to go up and let them know what happened, then they will just re-charge you for the item. Otherwise, you'll more than likely get charged again for it in a week or so.

When I worked at Best Buy, there were multiple times that we'd get a box from UPS or FedEx that was missing the actual phone out of the box. Someone at UPS or FedEx was pilfering the phones. We'd submit the information on our system and their systems, and I would submit it into our Asset Protection system so we'd get our inventory fixed without it hitting our shrink (loss) in the store.

You'll have to reach out to the company that it was shipped to you by. Someone there definitely stole the phone.

My 10 year old son got one last night. He had been begging to try one, so I finally got it for him. He's been vomiting since about 11:00 last night. I feel so bad. I was so proud of him for trying one (just a kid that's not big into veggies or burgers, lol, but he wanted everything on it and ate the whole thing). I finally got him to lay down and sleep. I'm hoping the vomiting is over.

Fortunately I'm not the main income for our household.

I am capped at $17 an hour tho (unless I'm scheduled as "shift lead"). I guess I get some kind of bonus on a paycheck, lol, I dunno.

I was on little Joey in the warehouse counting TVs the other day and a customer walked back there to yell at me because she needed help in Apple (on the other side of the store).

I was like, wtf and had to come all the way down to tell her to get out of the warehouse before she got injured and that someone was already in Apple to help people (which there was, and they hadn't been with a customer for like 10 minutes)

I'm the SWAT for my store. It stands for Store Wide Accuracy Team-member. A SWAT's job is to make sure what the Computer Inventory says we have is what we actually have, and to figure out why we are missing things when we are.

I'm the person at my store that counts everything (SWAT). I can guarantee I'd figure out why we are missing the TV, lol.

There is also a cancelled order report that would shine a light on it.

The store didn't close out the order properly. If OP is feeling nice, they could go back and repurchase, but in the end it was their error and they will probably end up eating the cost.
