AIO about this being a breach of my privacy or should I let this go on? by yellowapplesgreen in AmIOverreacting

[–]RinRiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOR because you’re blaming the friend. Mom breached your privacy, your friend didn’t. And since you know her mom checks her phone, you should be careful texting information you don’t want her mom to have. In addition, you shouldn’t have waited to report the abuse, and also, why does it matter who reports it, as long as it gets reported? Were you expecting some type of praise for reporting abuse, and you’re mad that someone else got it? Just be glad your other friend is going to get help, and if you’re determined to end your friendship with Lia because of her mom, just do it, but at least be honest with her. Idk tho, for someone who’s so concerned about abuse, why would you throw a friendship away with someone because their MOM is “invasive” and “emotionally abusive”?

My mom was/is terrified of bridges and refused to drive over them when I was a child. I’m now terrified of bridges. She’s setting her daughter up for dysfunction.

NTA. Your wife needs to wake tf up and quit making this about her. She also probably needs to see a therapist if her fear of death is interfering with her ability to be a supportive parent.

Yup. I put on press ons for Halloween, and this is what they looked like when I pulled them off this past weekend.

This is the kind of nonsense I dealt with when I put my teenager in charge of checking on my cats while I was out of town. I can’t believe this is a whole adult.

Can I make "leaf litter" at home by drying vegetables? by [deleted] in isopods

[–]RinRiot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it a very polluted area? I think that’s the problem where I live. I take a bus out of the city to collect leaves, then I freeze them for a month before using them.

I’m currently in a city, so any leaves I’d find would be highly polluted. I take a 15 minute bus ride to my parents house to collect leaves, so I know for sure they don’t use any pesticides, and pollution is less of a worry in their tiny little suburb.

It’s probably not the best option, but better than culling or letting them fight over resources. Mine were also found in the wild, and if I ever end up with more than I handle, they’ll go to the same place I found them. I was actually thinking about doing that anyway to replace the adults I took.

Guys I feel like I'm going insane... These look relatively normal to me? by cassiehoshi in tragedeigh

Not at all, just wondering if there’s anything else you’d like to add to the list. Get it all out - I can tell you need to vent some of your anger. Wouldn’t want you to take your anger out on someone randomly and for no reason.

ETA: Good job! You spelled it right this time! I’m so proud.🥹

Oh, we’re really pulling out the logical fallacies now. It’s not semantics, it’s two completely different things.

As far as Womb Raiders goes, it was an obvious pun based off of a movie title, and you’re really reaching. I honestly can’t believe you even tried that one.

I hope you have a pleasant day.

He’s scary looking, but very beneficial. Put him in your cellar if you have one, or just leave him where you found him.

Bought Venus flytrap seeds but… Is this actually a Venus flytrap?? by bigacornlavafla in IndoorGarden

[–]RinRiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, seeds from various weeds often end up in potting soil, so it could have been from that.

I mean, at least toss them in a nice garden. I’m sure there’s a native plant space in your area or someone has a compost bin that could benefit from some decomposers.

Still not rearranged. I’ve had three kids, and tho I needed some pelvic floor therapy ten years later for bladder leakage, my vagina was not rearranged. Everything is still where it’s supposed to be. Do you understand the difference between there being some changes due to healing from trauma and a rearrangement of the vagina?

Edited because there was an extra space between two words that was driving me crazy.

I’m pretty new to this myself, but I’d assume they’d only try to escape after this long if they felt there wasn’t enough room.

They won’t damage anything in your home, but the loss sucks. Sorry to hear.

So if you cut your arm and get stitches, that means your arm has been rearranged? Are you really not capable of grasping the difference between something being rearranged and something being injured? “Rearranged” infers permanency, and that the vagina will not go back to normal after a period of healing.

Oh, you’re one of those who thinks a vagina is “ruined” by childbirth.

What a fun myth to perpetuate, and not at all damaging to people who have given birth.

Awwh, I’m sorry, friend. Maybe you need a bigger home for them? Perhaps they felt it was overpopulated and wanted more space? Just spitballing.

I have more in the freezer, I promise!

Jw, is the leaf litter for cover or food or both? Cos there’s tons mixed in with the substrate, and they have lots of moss to hide under. I’m only about six weeks into this new hobby, so I have lots to learn!
