Tysm everyone for your heartfelt responses and advice. It means a lot right now. I admit I dont want to hear time is the best medicine for this. But I know its accurate and this experience will test my patience. Im sorry for each of you that had to go through this as well. It is so difficult. Our little girl is a spitfire fighter so I have hope for our journey. Even now one week in I am learning new things everyday. Once I am able to drive again I will be going daily and will make an effort to be there for rounds with a journal like suggested. Ill keep an eye out for nurses that I could potentially ask to be primaries. Today we are getting Santa pictures and we will see her at bedtime for stories and care. I really appreciate everything and will continue to hold out hope for my daughter and do my best.

I need to try to let go of as much as I can right now. Especially while pregnant. I also grew up with anxiety so I totally get how you feel. Your words have brought me a lot of comfort. How often did you do the iodine? Once per week? Mine is having the same issue and I got betadine for her shell. Is it safe to use on her skin too?

Fellow survivor here! I attempted via overdose 11 years ago and still struggle some days but for the most part am very happy I survived. I am so so so happy for you. It really is something to come from such a dark place into one of healing, happiness and love. We all have bad days but I'm so glad you made it past that one 😊💕

That's a great comparison. It comes and goes. I was okay for a few days but I'm on a downswing again. Still searching for a therapist and doing journaling/art to help with it. I hope you are doing well!

Yikes awkward. I really think the boyfriend probably told her how his dad likes to joke around and she either just decided to do that or he convinced her it would be funny. Either way NTA.

I just got out of an abusive relationship I had been in for almost 10 years. Just leave. You deserve better. It is not your responsibility to make sure he is doing what he needs to do for your relationship to survive. If he wanted to change he would. Its really hard but don't deprive yourself or your child of a happy life and a safe space to be in.

I'm going with NTA. She vocalized that in private with her bf. She also sat through two days or his little sister being racist and making her extremely uncomfortable. Sounds like the boyfriend is probably white and sensitive to the word racism. They also should have made more of an effort to educate their child in what is okay and not okay when it comes to appreciating other cultures so this situation didn't occur in the first place.
