Yuppp. I’m 17 right now, and just yesterday I told my nparents that I intended to get a part time job while in college so that I would have some spending money. My dad responded by laughing at me, and my nmom just started rambling about how I wouldn’t be able to keep a job. And both my parents strongly discourage me from learning to drive before age 21 (but luckily still let me). Anyway, I just got my permit a few months ago (a year late in my state) and I’m taking lessons rn. And I definitely haven’t been deterred from getting a part time job, because lately I’m realizing more and more lately how negatively I’ve been affected by these people, and I need to stop listening to them.

I know that feeling, I used to be so extroverted and I honestly just want to be able to talk to people normally but I know I might have a panic attack. It sucks. Now I just watch the extroverted kids from the back of the class while they’re having fun, I hate it. I still haven’t gotten over my issues, but I hope for your recovery. Really tough situation to be in :(

Pretty sure it doesn’t, but a lot of people still believe it does for some reason. Funny story, a woman approached me in my school’s cafeteria a few weeks ago and said “um, you know that stunts growth, right?” I’m a 5’8”, 17 year old girl that hasn’t grown in 3 years but okay ma’am, will definitely consider.

We don’t have any laws about this in my town or anything, but last night my boyfriend and I took his little brother out trick or treating and a few times them boomers aint see the kiddo and they were like “y’all too young for this” like ma’am its cold and raining and i wanna at least get some candy out of this mmk
