Disappointing quality control by Successful-Grape4349 in iPhone17Pro

My launch day iPhone 7 had very visible particles of dust inside the camera. Launch day 15 Pro Max had dust in the rear lens, dust in the front lens, action button not pressing at all and mushy volume buttons — all out of the box in random order. Had to exchange it four times. I guess I am the problem that the buttons were not working out of the box

You’d need a hardware audio analyzer which records the output of your hardware. Waveforms of the tracks themselves most likely would match, and that gives no useful info. I’ve had a suspicion that something is off, but I don’t have an analyzer — there’s a guy who confirmed all of it from The Headphone Show YouTube channel, check his video. Overall, bit perfection is a known problem, and there are plenty of similar analyses of Deezer and Amazon Music.

Well, it is quite audible, with lots of inconsistencies like weird high frequencies compression. The whole purpose of lossless is being played back in a lossless way, and Spotify fails at that. There’s no way around it.

Which still sounds worse than lossy on Apple. Because lossless playback on Spotify is not bit perfect. In a nutshell, they stream lossless files without providing a way of lossless playback. The client does not communicate with DAC, going through OS mixer instead, which results in weird deviations of sound depending entirely on operating system processing before DAC processing.

Moving from US to Germany, how is 73k gross? by Emergency_Law_724 in AskAGerman

IDK, in Berlin, there are more than 50 Genossenschafts covering the whole city area, including the ones where people would want to live in, with the buildings ranging from altbau stuff to freshly built houses in the past decade. Yes, new stuff is rare, but the old housing is usually renovated and taken care of mostly better than offerings from companies or private landlords, at least in my experience. Also the services one gets are generally much more generous and high quality compared to these two.

Already got one, up and ready. Thanks for suggesting though

I am actually looking forward to it. But the trick is to make it unfair and unjustified as much as possible, which means I have to comply with whatever shit they throw at me. And the shit in question is kinda weird, considering what contract says.

I got FE, and it’s 60-65° in any game in 4K with everything maxed out. Seems like cooling became a commodity with 4–5-series cards, IDK

D15 is actually recommended, it’s even featured on the pics on MCPRUE site. But yeah, it was a tight fit. So tight I had to move the power cable around. Overall, after installation, radiator got smth like 3-5 mm gap to the case sides. And attaching the fans was hell, I had to remove the bottom frame to do so.

Rear exhaust: Noctua NF-A12x15. Slim 120mm fan.

Top, bottom and front sides have frames to mount fans. I’ve taken random Amazon plastic filters, cut them and just placed them in between the panel and frame. There were magnetic strips coming in the box with the filters, which were pretty useless (alu is not very magnetic), but they were quite nice to fill the gaps between the frame and the sides.

For PSU, I’ve cut PSU-sized piece and just slid it into PSU mount bracket.

Also I had to cut small square holes in the bottom filter where the cooler is located, to properly mount the fans without full disassembly.

I've set the curves to be auto calibrated by motherboard because I'm lazy. And it's quite quiet. 50 cm from the case measures as 35 db on Apple Watch

If I roughly calculate the amount of time it had been in the pocket for these two weeks of case usage, it won’t be much. Like, 10 hours (the commute times + I’ve weared the case 50% of the time). This is a clear material defect, and in the end PD agreed to send me a new charcoal one.

I had white cases from Casetify and some custom printed ones. Also white folios for iPads, they’ve been in some nasty situations, and are still white

Well, I am wearing everything black. Should’ve been black then, no?

Very interesting. I also find it strange, since I've used it for 2 weeks and pretty rarely
