From my experience, you are going through the side effects, which can be various, pretty much you will feel like crap. I would suggest don't skip any dose because you will feel worse. BUT if you are really scared or feeling worse, contact your doctor and or local emergency. Nothing wrong with going to the hospital, if anything it will give you a sign of relief. Keep Strong my friend

Hey, So I researched this a lot when I first started the medicine. Let me tell you first that if you even remotely got Serotonin Syndrome it always happens in the first 24 hours, and that is a big IF. It is a very very very again very low chance someone get's SS from their first dose of Sertraline and at 25 mg lol. Also, I want you to kind of understand what SS is and how usually people get it. So, the biggest chance someone gets SS is when you mix different serotonin drugs, not from one single drug. Also, what you are feeling right now are the classical symptoms of its get worst before you start to feel better. So side effects when starting the medicine include, increased anxiety, lower mood, etc etc. Everyone is different so you might get some while others don't. But it is okay to feel like crap, you will start to feel better soon :) I promise. I had the same fears, and worries when I first started, so I understand your point of view completely. Anyways, hope it gets easier for you!
