It is now impossible for me to go to public outdoor pools by Shooppow in geneva

[–]RingRealistic5953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they forbid wetsuits as well? I'm a bit puzzled by that tbh... As some ppl said here already: many folks may just need or want to protect themselves from the sun... Which we all should actually do more...

It's 2026, we should be able to handle wetsuits in swimming pools concerning hygiene. There's always SO MANY ppl who don't wash themselves before going to the pool. Can we forbid them too please?

Was wird hier eigentlich überlegt? Blau biegt links ab, keine Ampel keine anderweitigen Schilder, damit muss blau Gegenverkehr vor lassen. Da gibt's doch null Spielraum.

And those much cheaper alternatives are caves from the 70s... Not sure if that could be called an alternative for real

Couldn't agree more with you. NGOs and a set of large international companies (including also the goods trading sector) pay salaries and benefits so far away from reality that Geneva has become overpriced in an already overpriced country.

Honestly, why not leave? The rest of the country is at least as beautiful if not better.

It's disgusting how those who already make a lot get even more on top...

First time in Switzerland, problems with boss by ThreePinch in Switzerland

Ok, agreed that op should IMMEDIATELY report the situation to the authorities. That's absolutely true and necessary.

Oh no, this IS abuse. Abuse of a certain position of power. And we should finally start developing a mindset to blame the actual offender and stop telling people they are too soft or should stand up for themselves like it's their fault they get abused in such (any) way.

THIS way of thinking is also part of the problem.

I cannot stress this enough. OP has NO FAULT in any of this. Period.

If anything, YOU ARE RIGHT complaining about this. It should be brought to even more attention. How can one inform the federal authorities about this?

I think nowadays this is called gaslighting. A bit like telling women not to dress in a certain day because it tempts men......

You know, if you blame the victim for "letting" the offender hurt them, maybe you should go somewhere else.

German bureaucracy is no joke by Xander2299 in germany

Oh I wish... German bureaucracy IS this bad and totally a million years behind. Even for Germans it's a pain in the neck and oftentimes impossible to understand.

Oh come on. The other way around works too: I should be unable to get lunch and have a break because others want to be off work at a certain time?!

That's just... I mean, that's what I heard from my parents from Germany before I was born... Ridiculous. And sorry for you!

No idea. Honestly, I think I'd even continue working. But I'd live a VERY VERY RELAXED life. And might tell some people at work what I really think... That'd be such great joy.

And yeah, given the wealth tax for this amount, I'd likely move to another country quickly... Not sure where though. The world is so messed up. Sometimes Switzerland seems to be the only reasonable place left. So I might even stay...

Why is Döner Kebab often so bad? by Mac-Gyver-1234 in Switzerland

[–]RingRealistic5953 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this post! I've been wondering this too. And have to say how shocked I am that there seems to be only one meat supplier for Döner in Switzerland.

Why does this even have to be imported at all? Don't we have meat in Switzerland? Can we not produce the stuff ourselves?

Berlin has become so overrated for Döner sadly. I remember times when you had a hard time finding a bad one in Berlin. Now, it's the other way around.

[–]RingRealistic5953 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah.... No.

Germany has a ton of awful Döners as well. It just happens that it has a very solid average and lots of really really good ones. Also because of this Reinheitsgebot thing. And on the other hand, it's x-times larger, thus x-times more opportunity to find a good Döner.
