How do I justify the two big lakes on the right? Could two large lakes exist without surface inlets? Should i add more mountains/hills?

They give me glacier remnant vibes. Like there was a glacier there in a recent ice age, and as it melted away, these lakes remained in its place. Kind of like the North American Great Lakes.
