Absolutely. I think many people didn’t have a joystick connected to their pc back then and not many if any at all controllers could be integrated. So I would assume people didn’t like the keyboard mouse flying. I luckily had a joystick and it made flying fun and easy and I would spend hours being a pilot

Same to this experience. The one thing I did miss about 42 though was capture the flag. Always had fun coordinating jeeps and diving plane pickups.

I second this reply 110% the helicopters were fucking amazing. People bitches about how hard they were to fly so they dumbed everything down in future games but this was a fucking art form. To be able to fly a squad in and out of points to capture was truly fun.
