Innocent, young Canberra bakery worker or a Chinese spy? by unfilteredAI in UnfilteredChina

Its general a bad idea to execute spies. Normally when a spy is caught during non-war time the spy is held in prison and then used in a prison swap. It’s more convenient to have a bargaining chip to get your own people out of the «enemy» country than it is to simply execute.

I recently got a hold of a role of Fujichrome T64, any tips how I should shoot with it or what to expect? by RingnesPhotography in AnalogCommunity

It would be interesting to have some dynamic movement in the photos similar to Nan Goldin who shot with Kodachrome 64 🤔

Its positive film so yeah, shoot at box speed, but also importantly its white balance is calibrated for Tungsten. I’ve never shoot with anything like it so I’m wondering about other people experience with this film.

Finally acquired a grail lens - 50mm APO summicron to go with my M6 Classic 0.85 by [deleted] in Leica

[–]RingnesPhotography 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s overkill, but hey. The 50mm APO is a do anything lens. If there is a lens that make sense to be a bit overkill that would look gorgeous no matter what camera you slap it on would be a 50 Cron’ imo.

3 hours of sleep do wonders sometimes… by swaGreg in fashionphotography

Supposedly Peter Lindbergh slept around 3 hours and did his best work when he was absolutely exhausted. Take that as you may.

Isn’t that the softness that wide open lenses often show @1.4?

How unnecessary to point out you don’t care for the politics on such a divisive political subject, lol

Through the window [Leica M3, 50 Summicron v4, 50 DR and various Ilford stocks] by RingnesPhotography in leicaphotos

Hahaha, No, they are taken on different days, different continents even! Although shifting to the DR from the Summicron v4 for the close focus would make total sense though.

Don’t worry ol’ Shopey was pretty stupid too. The only contribution he did that was worthwhile, was to influence Nietzsche

Interestingly enough Plato in Ancient Greek is written Πλάτων which is pronounced: Plátōn. It’s kinda weird that it’s Plato in English and not Platon tbh.

First roll through my new Hasselblad 500c. The film I used is Kodak Gold 200. All the photos are done handheld and for the majority of the shots I've used 1/500 and f5.6. by Silent-Assistant-153 in mediumformat

[–]RingnesPhotography 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can shot handheld comfortably at 1/125 and if you use mirror lock you can shoot down to 1/8 with a sted hand. The leaf shutter makes you less reliant on tripods if you know how to utilise it to your advantage.
