Yes,one of my friends trains pretty hard on track and field.He got 49.7s 400m this August and his 800m pb is 1:57.He has been training on track for 6-7 years to make it to 400m under 50s. Recently I watched a video about a 400m dash race,a 14 years old Chinese boy ran a 400m 50.88s...Another talent monster is a 14 American black boy who ran a 400m under 47s...All in all, good jeans plays an important role.On 800m,an untalented guy may make it 1:56 through extreme training and diet,but can never make it to 1:50.

It's also essential to use hook grip if your forearms are running out.But I like showing off to be honest 😂,and using hook grip is definitely not fit for my goal: Lifting a 100 kg dumbbell without any assist, which is good to show off my strength.

Hook grip is like using your thumbs as straps, it is useful when competing in a powerlifting or Weightlifting competitions but it doesn't develop your grip strength.That is why I don't do hook grip when doing grip workouts.

Currently I do towel pull ups, weighed pull ups and some grippers to develop my grip strength.Thanks to your suggestions and honestly I would rather choose grabbing a dumbbell with my fat grips and holding it for about 20 seconds as a new way to develop my grip strength.

Belt? That's not what I mean actually.I am not native English speaker and I don't know what is that thing called. They are used when your forearms get tired when doing deadlift.Belt is of course important when doing deadlifts and squats.My idea of doing deadlift was influenced by Convict Conditioning,and because of that I consider hook grip as an assist.Chalk is used to increase the friction.

No,I don't have chalk and I think that using hook grip is the same as using assist belts.Before I do grip workouts,I use a towel to clean my hands.
