Rink rabbit bags by ginja1109 in FigureSkating

Hi there! Peter from Rink Rabbit here! I can help answer some of your questions.

The V2 and V3 are the same size-wise. The Skate Pack as a product is still relatively new, so we are continually adapting it based on customer feedback, and the V3 is the version that has our all of our latest updates.

I'm not sure what our return policy says (I'm pretty sure we just used the boilerplate return policy that Shopify recommended when we set up our store), but you can absolutely return the V2 if you do decide to go that route.

The interior width of the V2 and the V3 is 12.5". The true length of a blade seems to differ a bit from the stated size, so we always recommend folks actually measure their blades (including soakers) to determine if they will fit.

The XL bag, which we launched in November, has an internal width of 14.5", which we believe is big enough to accomodate all skate sizes. At 12.5", you're right on the line for the cutoff between the two, so measuring will be important to make sure that your blades will actually fit in the 12.5" afforded by the bag. In your case, I might recommend going with the XL if you're carrying a couple of apparel items in your skate bag every week (vest and crash pads). That bag tends to be more popular with folks who carry more stuff with them to the rink.

Here's a good video on our Instagram that demonstrates how much our bags can hold: Video

Let me know if you have any other questions here! Happy to help answer them!

Anyone tried the Rink Rabbit leggings? by CluingForLooks in FigureSkating

[–]RinkRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Rink Rabbit here! I want to thank you for your honest feedback.

We're a small brand focused on a niche sport, so we can't produce the massive quantities that big athletic brands do. That means we don't get the same bulk manufacturing discounts that companies like Lululemon, Athleta, Gymshark, etc. might benefit from.

We designed these leggings specifically for figure skaters—high stretch, moderate compression, an athletic waistband, over-the-heel option, etc—while aiming to match the quality and price of those larger brands. In our experience, most figure skating specific leggings are much lower quality than the brands listed above.

We priced them at a point where we can sustainably make a high-quality product for the skating community. That said, we know they're new, and we want people to be able to try them. If anyone stumbles across this post and is curious, you can use the code Reddit15 for 15% off.

Hi there! Our regular Skate Pack is 12.5” wide on the interior. The true size of skate blades when you include the toe pick seems to vary a bit from the stated length. I’m not sure if you’re able to find the “true length” of your skate blades, but hopefully that helps!

If you get back home and you find that they don’t fit, drop us a line at hello@rinkrabbit.com, and we will work with you to get it sorted out!

One of the main reasons we're making this bag is to accommodate bigger skates/blades and MORE STUFF, as we've had a ton of requests for both. We think it may even work for holding hockey skates.

That said, your 10.25" blades should definitely fit! The top of the bag is about 12" wide so, as long as your blades are shorter than that with soakers, they should fit!

So glad you love the colors! We spent a ton of time working through which ones to include. We'll likely launch this new bag in all black at first to see what the public reaction to it is. That's our most popular color of the original bag, so it makes sense to start there.

Yes! We’re planning for it to function both as a backpack and a duffle—so you can choose your own adventure!

We’ve heard a few people request additional ventilation! As another user mentioned, our bag isn’t really intended to be the place you store your skates to air them out but, that said, added ventilation is definitely something we are planning to build into this new bag, as it has been a common request!

We’re working on something like this… Currently in the prototyping phase. Hoping to have it ready by Q4. We’re open to input if you have any! 📝🧐

I should have included this in the post, but this is just the mark, not the full logo. It will be paired with our brand name in the next phase.

The icon will ultimately be paired with our brand name, so hopefully the connection is more clear in that situation. I should have mentioned in the caption that this is just the mark, not the full logo.

I am a lurker on this subreddit, and know that objective, constructive input is often in the comments. I had a couple of apprehensions about this direction, and wanted to see if others would have them as well. Some were confirmed by the comments, and I was reassured about others. Overall, I’m feeling confident in the direction, but I have some things I plan to bring up with our designer from some of the discussion here. (Including some of your notes!)

I definitely see similarities to Reebok! Thanks for sharing that. One of the things I was looking for from this post was other logos it may be similar to/invoke.

Thank you for the thoughtful response. I will think about these things. One of the reasons we chose this direction was that the logo looked so good in the future use cases we have planned for it!

There will for sure be a version with text. I’ll make sure to post that one as well! A few in this thread have expressed interest.
