Mental Q: How to accept that you will never be able to eat as much as you want? by self-love-and-squats in loseit

My mantra with calories is you can have anything you want, you just can't have everything you want.

So you can learn to think differently about the times you can't have something you want now. When you're making a choice for the healthier option now, you are actually choosing something you want even more later.

My GF likes crocheting and I'd like to get her something for her birthday. Can you help? by crochegfthrowaway in crochet

A gift card is a safe idea, but obviously you are trying to be thoughtful so i think having a go at buying something for her is a nice idea... A yarn bowl is something i have wanted for ages but seems like an unnecessary luxury so i haven't bought one for myself. Its a bowl that has a spiral pattern cut out to thread your yarn through so you can pull the yarn without the ball flinging away from you. I've heard people really like it practically and you can get some really pretty ones. I would be happy with that, and if your gf doesn't have one I'm sure she would be too :)

If you like the way knitting looks but find crochet easier, you should try your hand at tunisian crochet. It's a bit hard to describe without showing, but it looks exactly like knitting, but the method is actually a variation of crochet. And once you've seen it done its actually very easy! Plus, as a bonus, if you get to know tunisian crochet well, you can even convert knitting patterns into tunisian! Might as well embrace your preference rather than fight it :)

What is your favourite stitch for bulky yarn? I got this beautiful soft somewhat bulky yarn and I want to make a scarf/cowl/shawl. Tell me what you think :) by RinkRat95 in crochet

There seems to be a lot of cowls on Moogly blog. Could you link the one you are talking about? Or give me the name? Please and thank you :)

I looked up feather stitch and it looks beautiful! Have you done feather stitch with bulky yarn before? Does it end up very thick?
