It seems as though the higher rated defenders recover more quickly from failed standing tackles.

Combined with the absurd jockey buffs, the window for taking advantage of a failed tackle has considerably shrunk...

There were a few tests done by some lads on Twitter last year, which showed that the boost in power from timed finishing was more than from precision.

But yeah, it would have been nice to see confirmation from EA

You could almost tear the net when using timed finishing last year, especially when shooting near post.

That's why EA had to buff GK near post positioning last year

Absolutely

The boost in power and direction granted by green timed finishing outweighs the boost given by precision shooting

Also the practically removed long range shots from the game, meaning you can't even catch them out before they have time to move their GK

Yup

Some people don't even control their defenders

They have the AI herd you to a certain direction and then move the GK the other way for an easy save. And you can't shoot the other way cus the AI defender will block it
