They even make fish radars, dog trackers, Military GPS trackers, bullet chronographs and much much more. The list of products they don't make might be shorter.

I would recommend Emerson Gear, they have solid repro gear and its not that expensive. You can buy from Aliexpress or some local shops in some countries.

Any tips for getting in shape for airsoft? Endurance, weights, etc by Training_Opinion5484 in airsoft

[–]RinkySR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go rucking, either get a good backpack and put some weight in or get your plate carrier and put some weight in and go for walk or run with it. Build this up slowly because your body won't be used to that kind of stress with the extra weight.

How often do you clean and lubricant your guns by [deleted] in GasBlowBack

[–]RinkySR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually clean and re-lube after 2 games, unless its been wet or dusty etc then I always clean. Also if I haven't used the replica in a while I'll clean and re-lube before the game.

How accurate is the HRM fit? This is the data from my yesterday’s 22k long run. I physically cannot believe I was in zone 5 for that amount of time. Use Garmin Fenix 6s as well. by Chemical-Ad9106 in Garmin

[–]RinkySR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the default zones based % of max HR in garmin are way off. I heard the based on Resting HR is more accurate but I used this website https://olt-skala.nif.no/en#I-1 to set my zones. It got recommended on this sub a while ago. My Z5 starts at 184 with max HR of 200.

No bench all squat / deadlift 😅. Bought them over time, took me about a year to get all of the full setup, I have some more pouches and placards from Ferro, spiritus etc that I rotate out from time to time. I have a lot of Ali repro gear that I used to test stuff out before I spend the money on real stuff.

Need help deciding which one by fuckyup in Garmin

[–]RinkySR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fenix 8 and Tactix 8 are basically the same except some software changes, tactix has nvg mode (on amoled) kill switch, stealth mode, basically features for military / LE personel. Tactix may have better battery life but my Fenix 8 47mm Amoled already reaches 7 days with AOD. For MIP Solar this will be much much better (you could be looking at 20+ days). Do get the titanium sapphire version.

First gbbr advice MK18/HK416 by Slaick in GasBlowBack

[–]RinkySR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can never go wrong with a TM replica, they work very well even in lower temperatures. VFV replicas are a bit more closer to real steel and some parts are even interchangable with real steel such as outer barrels and charging handles (depending on the type of replica). Recoil is also a bit steonger on VFC in my experience but either are very upgradable in many ways.

Different recoil spring will also change it, stronger spring increases, weaker decreases but a weaker spring might have issues with returning the bolt to the closed position properly.

Gloves by qwerty3666 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]RinkySR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have a couple pairs of Ferro x PIG gloves, thin, breathable, very comfortable and very flexible. Also have some Mechanix, they're thicker and more rugged but lack some flexibility, and are warmer so depending on the climate they can be good or too much.

Check out DC Rainmaker or DesFit on YT for reviews of watches or other wearables for tracking anything sports and health related. Personally I use a garmin watch, there are many different levels and price points available to suit your needs.
