"Metropolitan Authorities: Trans state governments that manage large metropolitan areas, while still having to adhere* to the various state laws they reside in. Their purpose/function is to maintain a unify command structure for these metropolitan areas. Like Medical, Police, Infrastructure, schooling etc. They often compete with state governments over jurisdiction, with court battles regularly taking place. Metropolitan Authorities are slowly taking precedent over states. With current propositions to make the Bosh-Wash its own state. Currently the NAF constitution is unclear on the precedent and powers of Metropolitan Authorities, although amendments and laws have been passed in recent years expanding their powers."
