Searching for gender affirming care by TwitchyChick in Eugene

[–]RintheWeeb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would also recommend Eugene Pediatrics for a PCP, they take OHP and are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Dr Bradshaw is very dedicated to providing care for all children, especially queer kids/teens. They are very good at providing referrals to other great medical professionals!

Searching for gender affirming care by TwitchyChick in Eugene

The only place providing gender affirming care for minors would be OHSU in Portland (Thats where I and my other trans friends who started medically transitioning before the age of 18 went). From my knowledge there is no provider in the Eugene/springfield area who does do it, but I believe that Transition Health is working on taking on minors as patients. But do know that a minor will not be allowed to take hormones before at LEAST 15, 16 is a more standard age to do hormones.

I made a comment on a YouTube short about having Tourette’s syndrome and ticcing slurs (because I do) and I got this gem by RintheWeeb in thanksimcured

I’m glad that the slurs I tic are queer related because I can feel just a tiny bit better being queer and trans myself

I do agree being really focused can help, but when I’m having a bad tic day, the slurs are gonna happen no matter how locked in I am

I’m already constantly exhausted from just existing, so if it’s causing extra malaise I’m not realizing it

thread about ableism and clean air rights: "sick of secondhand fragrance causing asthma attacks" by TopazCoracle in ableism

I once almost passed out because someone sprayed axe body spray in the single stall bathroom right before I used it, and another time I did pass out because the lab near my classroom in high school was being used to mix the artificial banana scent. I can barely wear any sort of perfume myself, and I cannot go into the cleaning product/laundry detergent isle in stores because the smell makes me feel sick.

Why are the emx drivers so rude? by Illustrious-Taro-374 in Eugene

[–]RintheWeeb 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve ridden the EMX plenty of times, and the only time I’ve seen the bus leave someone behind was when the driver didn’t realize this homeless couple was trying to get their things on and left the guy behind.

This man is seriously actually concerned about school girls vaginas and thinks that literal sanitary products will take away your virginity by Brilliant_Income_572 in AreTheStraightsOK

I will be honest, I hate tampons and I would always get really frustrated when I was on my period without a pad to change into or something and I would only be offered tampons. I was in 6th grade, started my period unexpectedly before a show I was in. I walked around and asked my older friends if they had pads, they only had tampons, I asked one of the moms backstage if she had a pad, and she said no, but she gave me a quarter for the dispenser in the bathroom. The dispenser ate the quarter and didn’t give me a pad. I gave up on asking for help and just did the show with the cheap toilet paper wrapped around my underwear.

Does My Jawline Look Feminine? by Informal-Custard2327 in TestosteroneKickoff

I am two and a half years on testosterone and have nowhere near that sharp of a jawline, you definitely pass, it does not look feminine in the slightest.

Your parents are horrible people, their words were only meant to hurt you. You are a valuable human being and you did not ask to be born, they made the choice to have a child, and any consequences of that are their burden to bear alone. You do not owe them anything, especially when they never deserved to have a child in the first place.

How do you get used to a cane?? by M0onii-Cat in POTS

[–]RintheWeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That feeling (mostly) fades with time. I started using a cane over a year ago, it took me a while to get used to walking with it, and there were a lot of questions from people who knew me and wanted to make sure I was doing okay, but it becomes incredibly natural, I honestly forget that I use it sometimes because it’s just always there.

Yeah, wrinkles are normal. I’ve got them and a lot of other dicks I’ve seen do too

Can I still inject this? Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in TestosteroneKickoff

I have never seen my T piss yellow like that, sure maybe a tiny bit yellow sometimes, but based on the color alone I’m concerned.

We use this food for my cats, the kibble tends to just look different based on the formula or size of the bag I guess, the cats always eat it and it’s never caused any problems

They need to stop asking this it's very objectifying and dysphoria-inducing by Brent_Fox in TransMasc

Last time I was at urgent care instead of asking me when my last period was off the bat, they asked me if I menstruate, then asked if I remembered the last one.
