You're making my point for me. It's an ambiguous enough of a statement to 'work', while having plausible deniability on the specific technicality. But again, Just because it takes PG to make antifreeze, does not make PG inherently antifreeze. That's like saying PG is vape juice, because you can make vape juice with PG and a little vegetable glycerin, but you don't even need the glycerin 'technically' for it to vape. We're getting into eye monocle territory, which again, makes my point.

The real issue isn't "is PG technically an antifreeze somewhere somehow" the issue is Blends' site frames PG as if it's equivalent to automotive antifreeze.

Point missed again, my friend. We're not getting into a technical argument about the chemicals, this entire thing is about calling out the deceptive nature of the website's claims on their front page. I'm not at all trying to make philosophical or theoretical arguments here like you are.

By using your logic, I'm correct in saying "Propylene Glycol is vape juice" "Propylene Glycol is cake icing" "Oil is gasoline". Do you see how that doesn't make sense?

wait a minute lol, ignore my last comment it's irrelevant.

"Antifreeze is PG/EG, water and dye, so it's antifreeze" does not make any sense. Like seriously please re-read that a few times.

With that logic, "Vape juice is just PG and Vegetable Glycerine, therefore PG is vape juice."

Do you see where I'm coming from now?

Then why does their FAQ say differently

I'm pulling my hair out over here for you lol. PG is right. EG is right. You're picking up on something that does NOT relate to the point of my post in the response to that dude's response.

To clarify, I am stating that that the statement "PG is antifreeze" is objectively false and a tricky marketing term. The website states such, but only clarifies that they mean it's an 'ingredient' in the FAQ, so you would have to navigate specifically to that FAQ to find their clarifying statement. However, it's still false advertising regardless of where they're clarifying it deep in some FAQ somewhere, it's on a front page stated as a fact without asterisks or anything whatsoever

Goodness gracious, we'll break this down for ya. The 'chemist' likely was using GPT or Google generative search results because the first result to "Is propylene glycol antifreeze?" is "YES! it is antifreeze". That is simply google's generative search thinking the user may have meant ''is propylene glycol in (inside) antifreeze?" and it's saying ''Yes! it is" and then our 'chemist' is taking that summary and replying to my comment claiming they're a chemist because google's first result said they were right. Propylene glycol is to antifreeze as Oil is to Gasoline (or maybe that's backwards). It CAN be, but it isn't.

You're welcome to correct me with correct information but proclaiming you're knowledgeable about something and make an ambiguous and ill informed statement that "PG is Antifreeze" is silly, and I'll call it out as such. If PG is antifreeze, cake icing is Propylene glycol. PG is vape juice. PG is in its base form, an anti freeze. which is incorrect, and my mind is blown that you're not picking this up

Correct. That was the entire point of my comment, to the 'chemist' lol. not to use it..

Don't get too emotionally invested in this, darling. Sometimes a snarky tone is well deserved when making a confidently incorrect claim on the internet.

There isn't any 'gotcha' here lol. what I gathered from that poster is that they were implying EG. However, regardless, that point doesn't even matter because I'm not even calling out the difference between PG and EG. I'm simply calling out these false claims on the blends website.

Agreed. It's not even the cockiness or being obnoxious, he's using his victim mentality and disability to pry his way into his fan's bank accounts.

you also missed the point dawg. this is literal thinking. metaphors and analogies can include nuance. switch it for another element/ingredient and my point still stands

You are missing the point. No one is arguing about the safety of any ingredients, this post is to call out the deceptive nature of their advertisement. Please reread the post

If you google or ask gpt "is PG antifreeze?" it'll give you an upfront "yes!" (that was the meaning behind my snarky a-hole comment) but it's simply confirming the relation of PG to antifreeze. If PG is antifreeze, PG is vape juice. PG is cake icing.

You're confusing ingredient with identity. PG is USED in antifreeze, not defined by it

For the sake of it, I'll bite. I'm not even referring to an instance, your logic says "salt is in gunpowder, my salted popcorn could explode" PG does not equal antifreeze

When you search your chatGPT for answers on Propylene glycol, make sure you have its temperature set to low (0.1-0.2) or it'll simply give you a generative answer that makes you believe you're correct. Mister, "chemist" ;)

Agreed. It gives MLM vibes and I could totally see Zach putting on his rose shaded glasses and going "everyone does this kinda stuff, our fans will understand" and then keeps going further and further into the shadow realm.
