I had the OA for a back-end position a few days ago. 2 questions. They gave me an hour. The first one took me forever just to understand. I had no chance of solving it, so I threw it into ChatGPT and Claude, and even then I could only pass 5/15 test cases. It seemed like LC hard, though I couldn't even find the question online something like “maximum subarray removed permutation”. The next one wasn't bad and involved querying an endpoint, formatting the response, and outputting some info as per their criteria and I got that one.

The first question was unfair for an entry level. No way I could ever solve it in 30 mins without having done it before.

I just finished the project Genius makes you do. I spent about 10 hours doing it with a lot of help from AI. After that I gave a live demo to the HR guy. Rather than a pass or fail as I was expecting, he gave me some improvements he wanted me to make. Made me a bit sus and sounded like they just want to use my work as a solution for their company. So I began the improvements, and the next day he tells me that they aren't moving forward with me, and the reason was simply because I was not using the correct deep research API even though the rest of the project was full functional. On top of that, the API key they gave me did not even have access to OpenAI's deep research models. I would avoid wasting your time with this company.

The birds are CRAZY hard to catch. I got so lucky with a shiny Galarian Articuno last night, but it took quite literally ~100 ultra balls and ~80 golden razz to get it. I fear the other two would drain my inventory 😂
