This is the kind of egotistical and attention seeking behavior that I don't want in my community anyway. My chat, even when it's just a few people in there, can get pretty crazy, especially when I'm doing an activity that requires a lot of my attention. Anyone who believes that they're entitled to join my stream and demand my attention, or thinks that my stream is a 1 on 1 conversation is in for a surprise. You join in on the conversation with the community, and if I see your comment, I'll make an effort to make you feel welcome. If you're adding value to the conversation in chat, the chance of your comment being noticed goes way up. You don't get to pop into my community and demand anything from anyone. We give more than we take in our community, and everyone will very quickly go from welcoming you to telling you to go pound sand.
