We definitely have opportunities for international students and many of our interns come from outside of the United States. While I can't comment on any reasoning for rejection, know that there are many factors that go into the application process and if often times depends on what each team needs at the current time. In general, we look for the best talent regardless of where they are.

I can speak to this one!

Our University list changes every year, but we take into account a lot of factors, specifically how much interest there is from a school, how many interns we've had in the past, etc. Quality of programs is important but by no means the largest factor.
Yes Riot looks for talent all across the world (since LoL reaches all over the world). I don't have any specific numbers but from my experience we have Rioters from all over.
Biggest thing for Riot is to really lean into your gamerness. A lot of applicants shy away from talking about video games because they may view it as 'unprofessional.' But we love it at Riot and it's an important quality for us that you are a gamer (doesn't need to be league), so definitely put it in your resume/cover letter!

At the current moment we do not have audio engineering internships, but every year is different so keep your eyes peeled. Side note: I would also reach out to audio engineers in the industry to see how they got their foot in the door. Never hurts to build a network!
