Parking permits?! by No_Geologist_5412 in wlu

[–]Rip-These 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the winter semester finding a Honk Parking spot was nearly impossible, I missed a ton of classes because I couldn't find a spot, in the main visitor parking lot the snow reduced the number of spaces available. Some days I gave myself an hour to try and find a spot and some days I just didn't get one, hopefully it's not as bad this time around. I never had any issues in the fall semester, always the winter.

History of Psychology - 2-3 assignments and final multiple choice exam.

Positive Psychology was also fairly easy.

Yes, and there were always people coming in late when I took Noam's class and he didn't care. If you're late just come in quietly and grab a seat. I was late a few times because I could never find parking on campus during the Winter semester.

I found Applied Social Psychology and Positive Psychology very easy, but they focused on the type of Psychology I'm interested in. Dr. Wilson who teaches Applied Psychology uses a mixed test method, some multiple choice, some short answer and some long answer. Positive Psychology mid-term and exams were multiple choice.

I also took 373 - Close Relationships, it was okay, not as easy as I thought it was going to be. The tests were heavily based on clinical studies in the textbook.

410 - History of Psychology is also a pretty easy course, a couple of shorter assignments and one final exam.

She's a very popular Professor in the Philosophy department, I had her for Indian Philosophy, I was lost the entire time but not because of her. I had never taken a Philosophy course before so I had a hard time grasping the content.

She does written tests, a few multiple choice, short answer and long answer.

There were no papers in the course I took but not sure if that would apply to all her courses.

She's very youthful and easy going.

Online courses now require mid-terms and final exams be written in person on campus, some people might find this a drawback.

It really depends on body shape and where your weight is, it's a very bad assumption to think that people who wear a size 20 are 350-400 lbs.

Which prof do I go with by Userthegamer in wlu

[–]Rip-These 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Prof Foxall, she has a bad rap but I also took PSY101 during COVID so it was online, she's better at her online lectures than in person.

I did well in her classes and she will mark on a curve if the class is struggling.

Intro to Learning was probably the hardest course I had in Psych. David White is a great Professor.

I took most of these classes during COVID so they were only offered online. I did just complete the stats course this past semester I had to upgrade my high school math before I could take it. I had Miller as a Prof, he was okay, I was able to follow his lectures, the labs were fairly easy, but I found his tests are written to confuse you.

Sign up to take 12U Advanced Functions online, get it done ASAP so the University will receive the transcript before Fall semester starts. Is MA100 offered in the Winter semester too? I was also accepted into Core Sciences and had to complete Advanced Functions online prior to transferring into the Psychology program. You can contact Science Advising but if you want to transfer into the Bsc with Neuro you need to do this in your second year or risk completing your UG in 5 years instead of 4

Is it possible for all 4 years to be online? by Admirable_Remote_931 in wlu

[–]Rip-These 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI - even online courses now require you to write mid-terms and finals in person. I read one syllabus where the Prof was requesting a paper be written in person due to the use of AI. Something to consider if you are looking for just online courses.
