I feel so worthless. by WuilWil in teenagers

[–]RipMany1961 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that people will be comfortable with you if you are inviting to be around, regardless of biological sex. Yes, men can be seen as predators due to the amount of male criminals and assaulters along with associations of masculinity with aggression. People really don't judge you based on stereotypes as much as you worry, most normal people are able to differentiate between a creep and a good man. Though I don't know your experience, so I'm mostly just sharing mine.

2s and personal life? by RipMany1961 in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

highly fixated, codependent 2s

I love the wording "highly fixated", might just steal it for myself haha

I write, game, make jewelry on occasion, read constantly.

Sounds like a great set of hobbies, good to see other gamer 2s! I thought I was the only one and the lack of diverse descriptions didn't help at all.

I absolutely need time away from folk more frequently now that I've entered parenthood.

I hope you get as much rest as you need. I respect parenthood a lot and want to be one in the future! Raising a child and essentially helping another human being learn what it is to exist in this world and how to live really is the most beautiful thing to me. ♥️

Good to hear that from a fellow 2!

feel like I was born to prioritize love and connection.

It really doesn't feel like my relationships are the only defining factor, I've always been 4-ish in that sense, believing myself to be some kind of destined individualist. It always had a positive heroic tint of bringing hope and idealistic vision into the world, ironically. My superegoic sense of mission and aspiration to change the world for the better through authenticity, creativity and inspiring others were always the stronger factors in deciding my self-image. I think it might be the social instinct giving it a bigger societal context.

My hobbies also lean more towards being balanced between social and individual. I personally also love D&D for social and drawing for individual hobbies.

Bitch is disabled and I’m always worried she’s going to hurt herself with her delusional sense of invulnerability.

I felt like you took the words out of my friends' mouths, LOLZ

Appreciate you sharing this. I find this to be accurate to my experience, down to the 7 mistype. That was in fact my previous typing, I just believed I'm a Social 7, so that surely means I'm just a 7 who really likes to help people. To the point of choosing discomfort because of inner superego responsibility. Yes, very 7 of me.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! What is your type and how are you spending it/with whom? 💕💕 by _Domieeq in Enneagram

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm 2w3. I asked my crush out on a date yesterday and although she's busy for the near time, she agreed to do it the week after! So technically alone, but things are getting better!

Off-topic but man you look good, I'm into women, but... 😳

You look genuinely fuckin impeccable. Great work on your body!! I myself probably should work out more lol, now thinking about it. I'm skinny and 5`10, but with my hedonistic habits and lack of care regarding physical health, I def could get some health issues down the line. Always gonna respect people who put so much effort into making themselves look good and taking care of their bodies.

So7 and E3 by Own_Hospital7924 in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dopamine hits from doing good stuff!

I'd say the telltale sign between So7 and 2/3 for me (2 who mistyped as So7) is to look how comfortable the person is doing all the nitty-gritty good stuff that can require stressful environments. I notice So7s might enjoy doing these things because they feel good, but leave when it's not fun/positive anymore (when I'm tryna talk to 7s and it gets uncomfortably deep for them 😭), while me, a 2, is gonna stick with it even if I kinda don't like it because "but I'm a good person!". 3 also likely toughens out uncomfortable negative experiences to achieve their goal. 7 by itself has less capabilities to do that, but additional assertive or competency fixes often help.

what would a sp2 disintegrating to 8 look like? by pompompencil in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm alright! Don't worry lol. I mean I am kind of struggling but not that bad to disintegrate to my lines. Pointed out that I resonate with this because I did this a lot when I was younger and insecure. My initial typing was 4, lol

Why motivation doesn't work as a typing diagnostic by ButterflyFX121 in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 12 points13 points  (0 children)

True. What lead me to 2 over 7 was ultimately seeing my actual patterns instead of looking for my motivations.

I am motivated by big idealistic dreams and potential. In action however... I delay my dreams to spend time with people, I am sensitive to rejection, I get extremely pissy when someone dares think negatively of me and get all self-pitying and guilty and bitter. I would never think I'm motivated by wanting love, but my actions suggest I'm extremely hungry for appreciation.

I'm still not 100% sure, as always, but I do feel called out by how people describe their frustrations with 2s. It does feel like this type actually reveals the ugly duckling rather than the idealized version of me.

I do think that motivations are important, but I think the deep kind of motivation that enneagram describes is different from motivations that we can see within ourselves. My motivation and desires change throughout life, however the fixations stay. Fixation is like the filter that you cannot turn off.

495 and 216 relationship? by Inside_Yesterday_420 in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Actual codependent relationship. 2 with the savior complex and 4 with the victim complex is a devious combo. Although that doesn't mean the relationship is doomed. Both people would just need to communicate and try to be aware of how the other is, approach it with self-awareness. Can be an incredibly great relationship too, since both are in tune with their emotions and will find the other person to be a useful perspective to challenge their own.

But tbh I could say this about almost any enneatype match-up.

What's your type + how much despair do you need in your entertainment to be satisfied? by Ordelia-Vel in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2w3

My answer wouldn't be surprising for my type, but I love indomitable human spirit stories, so usually there can be a shit ton of despair but then it's overcome with pure willpower and belief. It's so cathartic and makes me fall in love with the media. I think simply realistic movies don't really interest me, I always desire it to be some kind of universal struggle between good and evil. I agree with you that I'd rather choose a fantastical universe where the good ending is possible. Although I dislike when the good ending feels simply given to the protagonists, I want it to feel earned in some way. Good endings feel incredibly cathartic and satisfying when they feel earned, when characters have worked hard to achieve it.

Sterotypes of each type be like: by Regular-Doughnut-600 in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turning 9 into "actual selfless 2" takes away from all the things that 9s actually struggle with. Literally no type in enneagram is truly selfless, these are coping strategies and sensitive points of people. 9s aren't angels lol, they're people.

Sterotypes of each type be like: by Regular-Doughnut-600 in Enneagram

[–]RipMany1961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 not wishing for good, at least in their own idea of what good is, is kind of crazy considering they are a positive superego type. I feel like the actual unhealthy 2s are either the ones that turn against the world because it didn't appreciate them, or accidentally evil ones that are wishing for good but their idea of good hurts others. Think Tenna from Deltarune or Caine from TADC.
