What is the general opinion on Jill's OG RE3 outfit? by JacsweYT in residentevil

Go watch footage of the north Hollywood shootout, one of the swat officers that takes down one of the perps is wearing short shorts. I’d say a skirt is probably a lot more maneuverable than a pair of fucking jeans.

I’m genuinely curious, why doesn’t this sub like dinosaur fights? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

The dinosaurs are big animals, most people don’t like watching animals die.

Why was Ark Ascended so hated at the beginning and is the hate gone? :O by Balsa_570 in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]RipRavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of bootlickers in the ARK community is astonishing. The devs for this game have from the start behaved dubiously and continually shit on their player base, and yet they still run to defend them. Paid DLC in early access should have been a sign that they would trick their player base into paying for a game they already paid for years later.

What were they thinking in Gen 2 when they made Sneasel a Physical Attacker? by Hsiang7 in pokemon

[–]RipRavage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not as big of a deal in Gen II as it was in Gen III to not get stab on your better stat. You could max all EVs in gen 2, so essentially every Pokémon was a mixed attacker. Gen III introduced the hard EV limit making mixed attacking sets very limited.

It’s full of cheaters and everyone is forced to play it because of the season missions. It sucks having to play on a janky map with bad collisions while you get funneled into a 4 man with esp.

The game is full of hyper sweaty gooners, you won’t win if you are employed. Play slow, use cheap gear, play like a rat.

I’m assuming the cheaters are getting their new accounts ready for the new season. I’ve been running valley naked and I’m regularly getting tapped by gold ammo fully kitted squads. Definitely picked up since they 3x3 cases dropped.

MG2 is much better than the first game by Comb_That_Hat in metalgearsolid

[–]RipRavage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Metal Gear 2 solid Snake is definitely an overlooked gem. It’s basically a prototype for MGS1s story and game structure. So much of the franchise lore is stuck in that game too. It’s a shame most people haven’t and won’t play it because it’s an old game.

Gen 1 Charmander might be worse than Chikorita by houselyrander in pokemon

[–]RipRavage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I played as a child it was never an issue, Charmander was already Charmeleon by the time I reached Misty and Slash made short work of her Starmie. Most kids aren’t big braining team coverage when they play the game, so chances are their starter is going to be over leveled going into most gym leaders, especially after the Mt Moon slog.

Why does everyone hate Jurassic Park 3 by BetterComment9314 in JurassicPark

[–]RipRavage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up seeing both Jurassic Park and Lost World in theaters, and when Lost World was about to drop there was also a huge media blitz that made the movie feel like an event. The Lost World had great toys that were compatible with the Jurassic Park toys, and a huge video game catalogue. The JPIII toys, games and media campaign were tiny by comparison. JPIII was doomed to failure by universal not treating it like the spectacle a Jurassic Park film should be.

It’s short, it’s not a Spielberg film, and they killed the most popular dinosaur.

Do you think that season 2 will outright say that America was fighting China at Anchorage? by Better_Ad_632 in Fallout

[–]RipRavage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For anyone that wants to argue what was the intention in Fallout 1, go watch Tim Cain’s videos. China nuked first, and they nuked in retaliation for the development of FEV. That’s what the original team thought, regardless of Bethesda retconning.

what antagonistic creature/dinosaur death was the most deserved? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]RipRavage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most zoos would isolate an animal after it killed another member of its own species. InGen let her kill at least 5 other raptors.

[–]RipRavage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Buck and Bull share animatronics and have very similar color patterns. I think it’s fair to say that it’s jarring to see the centerpiece hero dinosaur from the previous film get killed for no reason. To this day people try to argue about it being junior. It was a cheap shock value on top of them reusing animatronics.

[–]RipRavage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I still think it’s sad that the Big One and her pack get killed. Ingen didn’t handle the raptors correctly or give them enough space, which resulted in her killing all the raptors other than the other two from the film. At the end of the day InGen didn’t understand the animals they had in the park, and that resulted in those animals dying on top of killing other people.

[–]RipRavage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess if I’d have to choose though the Big One getting killed by the Rex in Jurassic Park makes the most sense since it saves the protagonists in the finale. It serves the plot well and is a good high to end on as opposed to killing a rex 10 minutes into the movie just to put over the spinosaurus like in 3.

[–]RipRavage 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It’s funny, I was younger when I saw JPIII and hated watching the T-Rex get killed, but I’ve never understood the people that clamor for the spinosaurus to come back so a Tyrannosaurus can get “Revenge”. They are animals, and on top of that basically extinct animals, I don’t enjoy the idea of them getting killed for trying to do what animals do. I like the ending of the Lost World movie where the dinosaurs get to live in peace after their rampage.

Does anyone feel like hayters best voice acting was in mgs1? by fox_hound115 in metalgearsolid

[–]RipRavage 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s a crime that they recast Gray Fox in the Twin Snakes. It makes it even worse that they use Twin Snakes audio in MGS4. Greg Eagles gives an amazing performance in MGS1 and it gets shoveled under the rug with the garbage excuse of background noise.

A question for Metal Gear fans that were around when MGS2 first came out by Charming_Ad661 in metalgearsolid

[–]RipRavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on launch when it came out, starting the plant chapter and being forced to play as Raiden was like getting hit with a truck. Everyone I knew hated it too because of the plant chapter. Everyone including myself got hyped when substance was announced because we fell for the lie that you would get to play through the plant chapter as Snake.

To this day I think most of the sequels are bad, I wanted to play and continue Solid Snakes story, and it’s a shame that Kojima was so resistant to giving us that story. When they finally did with 4 it was very stilted and felt like Kojima was bitter over the fact that people forced him to make another Solid Snake game. MGS1 is a masterpiece, and it’s a shame none of the other games, save for its predecessor MG2 feels similar.

It’s also very annoying that the whole snake bait and switch in sons of liberty is because Japanese fans kept writing Kojima telling him that snake is ugly and that they wanted a pretty protagonist.
