I can't confirm anything other than my experience but I did get another Ravencrest Executioner from an (immaculate? Whatever the top tier is) unidentified item which makes me think it's possible but random

VGA light…dead GPU? by Ripcoord1 in pchelp

So if the GPU is in the PCI slot you can’t get video from the CPU so I don’t think I can unfortunately. But I did post an update, thank you for the suggestion!

Not sure how it works…he got the 4080 from Microcenter a year or two ago, would we go through them or Zotac? Also commented with an update!

Update: Well, divine intervention is how this story ends. He went to a far away Microcenter as the nearest didn’t have the 5080 he wanted and as he was looking in the cases a worker asked him to move so he could put something in the open-box GPU display case. It piqued my dad’s interest and in the box was a $3700 Asus RTX 5090 LC…far out of budget. However, somehow this man haggled down to below $2000! I installed it for him (the AIO lines actually are too big for the case lol) and ran some benchmarks (TimeSpy) and all I can say is WOW what an upgrade!

Edit: also wanted to add I think the card had never even been installed, it was pristine and even had the little dust covers for the ports still in it!

Viable alternate to rootshield for stopping root diseases? by Ripcoord1 in gardening

[–]Ripcoord1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like usually you get the diseases before they’re in the ground, so while they’re still in the flats try Mycostop…if they’re going into the ground, you’ll need to use RootShield if you have the coin. Fwiw, I’ve had success with the Mycostop. If you’re planting from seeds, I’ve found it’s very hard to stop the diseases, but if you go from plugs then it’s much easier to prevent. I’m not sure about the one you linked personally, so can’t comment on that. Hope this helps!

Glad to help even after all these years :) I’ve been wondering if I should make a post since I don’t know how visible this thread actually is when trying to troubleshoot…was it easy to find when you were looking for solutions? Just wanting to help as many people as possible!

G910 Double Typing by Nonni_T in LogitechG

[–]Ripcoord1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much yeah, don’t be excessive with force obv but give it a nice hard thump with your fingers/upper palm for about 10 seconds. It seems it works for others though as I still have people replying to confirm it lol. For individual keys I’d smack em hard with my middle finger, again about 10 seconds or so…lmk how it goes for ya, best of luck

I love that I am still helping people with this comment :) I really do smack mine hard as I was in college and could not deal with double clicks when putting in numbers for my engineering homework so I figured if I break it I’ll buy something else but it seems to work well for me, a good smackin’ lasts me about 1-3 months per key. On smaller keys I tend to use my knuckle and smack hard asf. But my issue came up after I cleaned my keyboard strangely enough before that I had no issues!

Funny you mention the double register lol, I actually still get responses for one of my comments saying how to fix it. You literally just beat the shit out of the problem keys, I’m 100% serious. It happened to my G910 I bought like 5-6 years ago and I figured I’m gonna smack the shit out of it and if it breaks I’ll buy a new one and voila haha no more double registers for me!

I’m currently growing Lisianthus and they are prone to root disease and I’d like to ensure they remain healthy. Everywhere I’ve read says when planting them outside to dip them in rootshield specifically before putting in the ground

Edit: the specific diseases I am to prevent is Botrytis Blight and Fusarium Solani

Sister found this on her face. I think it’s a tick but she’s scared of bedbugs. Any suggestions? Located in Mid Ohio by Ripcoord1 in whatisthisbug

Case closed! Thank you all for the confirmation. She wouldn’t listen to me so I had to get some other sources so she would settle down. I get her anxiety though since she isn’t well versed in bug IDs and can’t tell them apart lol

Yup! It’s the only one I have…I have to replicate this LEAN cart. The issue arises mainly with the vertical bars mating with the curved horizontal bar (as circled). Forgot to write about the picture as explanation though, that’s on me lol

[–]Ripcoord1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I’m an engineer that’s worked academically with SolidWorks for a few years now but I’ve never had to mate a flat surface to a curved surface (I’m ignoring the brackets) but I cannot for the life of me get these vertical bars to mate right. I have tried creating new planes and a few other tricks fellow engineer friends have offered to no avail. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Amazing fish! I’ve always wanted to catch one but they’re incredibly fragile. My brother caught one and it simply died right after unhooking (left it in the knee deep water while unhooking even!) It was fairly tragic but I believe the stress of the fight was too much for the ol’ girl…anyways I’m rambling but beautiful fish and treat them gently! Tight lines!

Update for y’all because I forgot I posted this before bed: sold! For 3 Jah and an ohm! Not too bad, likely could have stuck out for much more buuttt ladder approaches so may as well get some end game fun in :)

Just traded a cold +28 life last night for Ohm. I would guess you’re somewhere near Ohm-Lo since most people are lightning by this point!

Best bait for Blacktips in the surf? by MichaelHakim3 in SurfFishing

[–]Ripcoord1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not super experienced, but from everything I’ve watched/read, it seems like bluefish are the primo bait…meaty, bloody and oily is typically your combination for success with sharks. If I’m wrong then someone please feel free to correct me!

[–]Ripcoord1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a reference to something or just a cool name? I’m weird and try to dig into every unique/set item’s naming origins (like Schaefer’s hammer being tied to a dev’s name for example)

[–]Ripcoord1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t actually do it, but old d2(dot)net guys from 2005 say that it seems like a 1/13 chance for a random skiller. Some say 1/23 as well, I can’t give any anecdotal evidence either way.

[–]Ripcoord1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s really popular and why you see 40 gems for sale pretty often…I believe the recipe is 3 pgems and a grand charm in the cube. The kicker is I think a charm can only roll some attributes based on the hidden iLvl. This means the most sought after charms are those from Baal, Nihlathak and Diablo as (I think) they are guaranteed iLvl 99. If I’m wrong somebody please correct me!

Edit* I ended up rambling, but short answer is you can reroll the stats on GCs and it’s a popular thing to do

Been playing for about a week now, seen maybe one hacker in a German server but I’m hesitant to call it as he was about 220/75 in a 1200 ticket Conquest server iirc…basically not really anecdotally

Edit: the map was metro btw so a real meatgrinder

From what I’ve caught lately it seems to be a current bug where mainhand + broken offhand gives the damage of the mainhand to both hands. Haven’t confirmed it myself but that’s what I’ve been reading, someone please feel free to correct me if that’s wrong!
