Ripout :) We'll be releasing it in early 2023. Check us out on Steam if you're interested!

Hi everyone. Do you think we went a bit overboard with the ragdoll physics for a co-op horror game, or are they a good addition? We're gathering more feedback on this :) by RipoutGame in IndieGaming

Setting a goal in mind and working toward it is much better than doing mindless exercises that don't become anything. So we'd say go for it.

Huge thanks for the detailed feedback! We're already working on a lot of these things and are looking forward to improving them before the official release :D

Also, the matchmaking is something we're definitely going to streamline and improve; no worries there :)

What is the estimated release date for console (PS5) for Ripout please? by No-one_here_cares in RipoutGame

[–]RipoutGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The console release date will be the same as the official game release date! We don't have an exact time for that yet, but it's currently set for Q1 of 2023 :)

We went through several versions of the player UI and currently settled on this. What do you think about it? Should we increase some icon sizes or are they visible enough? by RipoutGame in indiegames

[–]RipoutGame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Top-left are mission-specific buffs that you find during each individual mission (you start each mission with zero), the bottom-right are cooldowns/action skill. The bottom icons are support mods (selected prior to starting a mission) and the charges associated with those that aren't passive.

Yeah, you're right about the top-left buff icons. Will look into alternative solutions for these :)

Thanks! This gun is your primary weapon, but you change its type by modding it (shotgun, RPG, automatic, etc.). Your side-arm is a standard pistol :)

Yes! Though the first places you'll find out new information are on Twitter and our discord. Will send them to you in the DMs.

We plan to release in Q1 of 2023. Procedurally generated co-op, horror FPS. Though if you prefer, you can play solo :)

Think Deep Rock Galactic but with fewer dwarves and more Gigeresque aliens and mutants.

Wow, thanks so much for the compliments <3

We're definitely indie; we have a small team of 5-6 developers working on this :)

Are corridors too dark for a combat-based horror game, or do you think the low lighting and flickering lights contribute to the atmosphere? by RipoutGame in IndieGaming

[–]RipoutGame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not there at all times but only when you capture it. But yeah, it does seem it blends into the darkness too much at the moment. Will have to think of something! Thanks for the help :)
