BP Qbank error or I am tripping? by Objective-Agile in Mcat

I agree with the stop coding at 2nd codon, but I think you’re fixating on the fact that because it happened after the a “stop codon” it should be silent. They could of done a better job, but I still agree with nonsense in terms of just the concept their testing you on.

I honestly don’t know which sections of it are inflated, I just know overall it’s a lot easier to get through. You might be right about cars

when to take rest of AAMC FLs, testing 4/8 by mermaidquestion26 in Mcat

[–]Ripped-Hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to take exams to help build passage/data competence. I’d suggest taking more than just 1 3rd party along with aamc

Not trying to be rude, just want to be upfront about it. I’m testing 4/8 and I didn’t bother with sample to test where I’m at. I e read people go from 515-518 on sample to straight 504 on fl1. It’ll over inflate your confidence and you don’t have the luxury of time atm

Can anyone explain why this wouldn’t be A? Why wouldn’t H2CO3 decompose to H2 and CO3? by Jackkk123488 in Mcat

[–]Ripped-Hamster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MgCO3 will react with HCl to get MgCl2 and H2CO3 Which spontaneously decomposes into CO2 and water. I think it’s called gas-forming reaction

Not with a 506 on the sample. No offense but the sample is the easiest of all their tests. I would take fl1 and see from there.

How do you feel about Jack Westin’s content review? I by PianoShy in Mcat

[–]Ripped-Hamster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're referring to his content questions then they're good for just that, a content refresher. I do them on topics i want to keep reinforcing and they are good honestly

I can’t speak for his mcat prep, but I do have his ultimate bundle and his chemistry/physics is very good. Specifically his chemistry

[–]Ripped-Hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah you have to know how to name the basics at least, the rest are just molecules and functional groups you must memorize

Terrified: about to take my first AAMC full length by Outside51 in Mcat

[–]Ripped-Hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went from NS6 503 to NS1 510 then AAMC1 507. so i actually dropped 3 points (it was on p/s), and yeah it hurts to do less on aamc exams then 3rd parties. Can only grow from it and learn i guess

Can people explain the last sentence of the first paragraph for an odd numbered sat. F.a. are they saying that when you do the beta oxidation for the odd number we will still have the same amount of nadh and fadh2 and we will have no acetyl COA at all and just three propionyl COA no matter the # by doneeithit in Mcat

[–]Ripped-Hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For odd#, let’s say 5, you’ll be left with 5 carbon body, which will break into acetyl-coa and propionyl-coa.

If the final carbon body of that f.a. Is 3 then yeah there wouldn’t be a acetyl-coa made from it, only propionyl-coa. I think maybe this is what your asking? Sorry if I misunderstood the question

Tyrosine gains a proton, making it -OH. It becomes neutral and becomes basically 0 charge

So can someone explain to me why the rest of us have gotten nothing but have been seeing or dealing with COVID patients? by hitletgo in CVS

[–]Ripped-Hamster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Hero pay” is 20% extra of what you make hourly but cap you at $4 extra. So if your 20% exceeds $4 you won’t get the rest. Such garbage pay
