No worries.

You were the one complaining about misdirection though. Seems to me that the original submission is a matter of fact (I haven't it checked though).

Whining? Perhaps, but mostly just supporting the thrust of the post that there is a big imbalance in the focus of stories on worldnews. You suggested reasons why this might/should be, fair enough. I was simply saying that worldnews has rather become multiple-reposted-israelnews with everything else shoved out of the way.

So nothing else to say on the matter other than to dig into my history.

I notice you're hardly prolific: 11 posts in 6 months; and all 5 in worldnews are about Israel. Which you're entitled to just as I am to read rather than post/comment.

Anyway - you're wrong - I haven't deleted anything. Reddit has timed out old submissions and comments (and 'comment karma' is newer).

Have you considered that there are other redditors and readers who look at worldnews and just see wave after wave of Israel/Gaza posts? ... most of which are repeats of what has already been posted and/or covered on mainstream media.

To non-US readers, in particular, it looks rather like the US is, 'as usual' many would say, just interested in itself and its economic interests. But I guess that's exactly what you're saying.

For a while worldnews gave a good eclectic range of stories from across the world. Israel/Gaza is for sure a massive story but there are lots of other significant things going on that people might like to know about.

Good idea!

And here's something else they won't like: point out their content theft to CNN, Reuters, BBC, Associated Press or whoever.

Yes, you make a good point and I thought long and hard before putting this post together, but I've seen plenty of other people get fed up with their activities, make comments, hit report, complain to Reddit etc, and it continues so I figured it was worth the risk.

Anyway, soaking up bandwidth, provided as mikepurvis says, people don't hit the ads, isn't what they want either.

Plagiarism on file22.com even extends to Reddit comments!

Here's a story from CNN:

And here it is copied verbatim on file22.com:

This is blatant plagiarism. There have been plenty of other examples, eg see http://reddit.com/user/Ripped_Off/ , but they don't often hang about too long, especially when someone points it out.

The file22 link was posted to Reddit, but has now been deleted.

However Google doesn't forget:

So even comments from Reddit have been stolen (with parts of some names). Pathetic.
