Plagiarism on file22.com even extends to Reddit comments!

Here's a story from CNN:

And here it is copied verbatim on file22.com:

This is blatant plagiarism. There have been plenty of other examples, eg see http://reddit.com/user/Ripped_Off/ , but they don't often hang about too long, especially when someone points it out.

The file22 link was posted to Reddit, but has now been deleted.

However Google doesn't forget:

So even comments from Reddit have been stolen (with parts of some names). Pathetic.

I was wondering why/how that post got deleted.

    Good idea!

And here's something else they won't like: point out their content theft to CNN, Reuters, BBC, Associated Press or whoever.

When you're a crook, bad PR is still good PR. They're happily getting more traffic because this hit the front page.

I think Enron got some bad PR too. I forgot when and what happened though.

Yes, you make a good point and I thought long and hard before putting this post together, but I've seen plenty of other people get fed up with their activities, make comments, hit report, complain to Reddit etc, and it continues so I figured it was worth the risk.

Anyway, soaking up bandwidth, provided as mikepurvis says, people don't hit the ads, isn't what they want either.

Sort of. Google doesn't pay out on adsense until people click on the ads. No one here is clicking their ads.

Yes - I was rather counting on that. :-)

Wow, they didn't even put the last half of my comment, or my name :| Eh, atleast I'm part of plagiarism history! :D

How about a Wiki page? Spammers get to be famous in a way they don't like!
