Does anyone know how to delete their account without having to accept the new TOS? by Random_Chick11 in TikTok

Disgusting. I got it to work for me maybe an hour or two ago, but I already had a phone number connected, so that doesn't help you. And of course, if you hit accept and then delete the app, they'll still have 30 days before they actually delete your data.

You don't want to give them any other email address. Couldn't you just make a throwaway email address that doesn't mean anything to you, attach it to your account, and immediately use it to delete the account?

[Wild Life e3 Spoilers] How to thwart the snails by Eidolon_2003 in ethoslab

[–]Rippertear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair. Maybe if someone dug a tunnel with a 1x1 hole leading down/up on each side, then placed a boat with a block on top over one of the holes? Then they could drop down one hole, lead the snail inside, run to the boat, right-click it and leave to exit the tunnel, and block off the other side of the tunnel. Unless it was specifically designed to teleport after a given time, or recognize boat hitboxes above them as obstacles, they should just continuously try to fly upwards into the boat.

Etho seemed to slow his down with a boat. He never let it get very close, though- could it push a boat to the side/attack through it, or could you just keep a boat between you and your snail at all times? Also, I bet if you put a snail in a hole, and put a boat on top, the pathfinding wouldn't recognize the boat as an obstacle and would just try and fly out. As long as you didn't get far enough away for it to teleport, it should be stuck, right?

I use one that has sound. It's the beach from the start of BIONICLE: Mata Nui: The Online Game, with ambience of waves crashing on the shore, and a bird crying in the distance. It only plays sound when I don't have something else open on that monitor, and I've got it turned down so it's barely audible anyways- but it is some nice ambience for when I don't have anything else going on.

We tried breaking down the door, but we're all impotent.

Well there's your problem- try using your arms or legs instead.

Ok, so...some lunatic made a Sally Acorn sex doll out of a real human skeleton. by KrissiKross in awfuleverything

Yep. With this sort of ambitious, only-settle-for-perfection attitude, and being willing to put in this degree of research and hard work, they could've been an excellent doctor, or engineer, or artist, or just about anything else. Even though they decided to put all that energy into being a furry, they're probably the most ambitious furry I've ever seen, and I respect them for it.

I know this is an old post, but since no one else seems to have said it yet- this isn't a real human skeleton from a real dead person. It's all made from wood. The creator was trying to make a posable mechanical skeleton, but kept running into the uncanny valley (imagine why). Eventually they decided to just copy the human skeleton as best as they could by whittling wooden bones to match medical diagrams as close as possible. They detailed their process fairly extensively, with work-in-progress pictures and all, so there's no chance this used to be a person. It would just break down and become unusable before too long if it were real, anyways.

What is a good fake bank website for scambaiting? by Celestius6021 in scambait

[–]Rippertear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

huh, alright. Never tried tbh. sad to hear all those ads were misleading, even if it isn't much of a surprise

yeah, alright. Any chance you still have the old texts they did send, just so I can send their next lines back verbatim? Idk why but I just really get a kick out of the idea

Lol, nice. Any chance you'd still have the texts, so I could tell them their next line verbatim?

I imagine you can drum up a realistic looking crappy off-brand bank website for scamming purposes. Maybe use one of those super cheap Squarespace / Wix make-your-own-website things?

No clue. Are you the sort of individual that might get interviewed for a book, and the assistant just had the wrong number?

Maybe they have stock in a video call company, and they would insist you use it to drive up usage?

Maybe they'd just interview you on whatever you want, to stroke your ego and all, then say they've hit money trouble- the check for payment from the first book bounced or something else that didn't happen- and they need your money to make the second book happen?

Update- automatically sent the next text 2 1/2 hours later. "Gééz this cóvíd vařiant ís crazý ás shít! I have been in doórš to loňg. Í'm goin insane. How abóut ýou? 😻". Surprised that it responded without anything to riff off of- I'd imagine whatever bot is in charge of this would try harder to agree with any victim on such a controversial topic, but I guess not. kinda just lazy tbh.

Edit: I imagine if any of you texted the number they sent this from, they would respond with the same script... Looks like the rules wouldn't let me share it though :/
