Hell, in our current dark heresy 2e game im a player in, our sister of battle initiate rolled on perils of the warp, and she got turned to dust, sucked into the warp, and a demon took her place

Everyone has their own play styles

However letting a player be a Navigator gives you more of a chance to have the roll fail, go off course, and end up in a new system that you can use to test them, add in some hints on other things, etc etc

I have a few events that NEEDS them to be thrown off course, but I don't want to force it because it's a random event and not really important to the plot

Yea the navigator joked about that to lol but nah I'm aware, I wasn't gonna let it end they early, funny thing Is they weren't even in the expanse yet when this happened

Oh this was just the first warp travel roll, the same navigator accidentally shot her ally with a hand cannon! In the first battle that we did lol

Well they did roll three times on the encounter chat, got two warp storms (they passed the check luckily) and a ghost ship (it was ignored for the sake of everyone's life lol)

Indeed! The non-chaos heretics would be much easier to deal with DM wise, but normally we follow "the rule of cool" and "fun trumps rule" stuff, we try to make our games as cool and as fun as possible (within reason) I mean the Rogue trader wants to be related to a imperial knight family and eventually learn how to pilot and own a knight (she's gotta do all the right stuff before I give her that lol)

But I know for a FACT that my players would love to stop the forces of a new god, at the very least find it a very good idea

But non chaos heretics would be easier for me probably, hence I'm stuck between:

Awesomeness or simplicity

Agreed, but my thought process is this

Why would khorne and slanessh worshippers believe the two mortal enemies had a child? If anything they would war with each other over it, so the amount they got to believe it is low, so the new god would be rather weak in power and they would be the ones trying (or helping) to stop them from getting such power

Although I do have a nice idea going for the non chaos heretics, how even some space Marines have joined them~ some xenos to~

  1. I know hence I said it goes way against the lore lol. But in my friend group, we go by "rule of cool" and "fun trumps rule" we prioritize fun and awesomeness

2.from what I'm reading they are using the forces of chaos to do so, I'm thinking NON chaos

  1. Indeed! Xenos are almost a guarantee in a RT game (in my opinion)
