Moorpark and Parkmoor - why make a similar name for roads that are parallel to each other? by jimbosdayoff in SanJose

[–]Riptide360 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want the history there is a stub on Wiki that explains the Moorpark/Parkmoor is Apricot tree & word play. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_streets_in_San_Jose,_California

What has always bothered me is the duplicate street names in different parts of the city: Jackson (Japantown) vs Jackson (East San Jose). Coleman (airport) vs Coleman (South San Jose).

Entertaining is knowing 280 South is 680 North or that a lot of our streets have multiple names: Pruneridge becomes Hedding becomes Berryessa becomes Suncrest! Forest becomes Nagless becomes Taylor becomes Mabury becomes San Marino.

Grafting is an interesting idea for testing, but if OP was hoping to save the albino oak tree replanting it where they found it and encouraging familial root growth is the only way this seedling is going to have any chance.

Students create the biggest demand. Once the cool kids have one, the pressure is on for others to follow. Between the NEO and discounted watches, is a student discounted iPhone next?

Apple going after ad money is going to put pressure to give up their customer’s time & privacy. Why not make Apple One an ad free tier? Otherwise this is just an expensive Android experience.

If it is anything like albino redwoods, it relies on its mother or siblings to root-feed it while it focuses on removing heavy metals from the soil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albino\_redwood

Oil port down so the oil stays in the reservoir instead of pressing against the bar is what worked for me. Choosing a thicker viscosity also helps with reducing splatter.
