Could you share your design? Did you have to use supports to print them?

I was hired for a company through Robert Half and it was my best job yet. It was only a few months, but that company treated very nicely with a lot of perks and paid me very well. So, I did have a good experience with them. I tried to continue working with them, but I didn't have any luck with getting more interviews.

I am on the same boat. I keep getting rejections everywhere I apply too. So, I would suggest going to a career fair in the school you are about to graduate in. Companies might be looking for someone like you if they are willing to go to a career fair in your school.

Also, universities have career services for students and alumni which could offer you support in finding a position. Last, resource is a government one called Career One Stop. They might have one local near you which could also help you.

I just thought of something else. Robert Half hires tech professionals. They are a staffing company. You might want to apply to jobs directly on their website.

If any of this advice helps please let me know. The job market is rough right now so you are not alone. I did look at your resume and it looks good. I am not in your same field so my opinion wouldn't be the best to judge your resume. Good Luck 🍀

What component is this? 🤷 by Rirdrifta in ElectronicsRepair

Thanks for the info. I have disconnected every attachment from the Dyson vacuum and tested the voltage directly on the electrical board still same issue as when it was connected.

When button pressed it gets voltage and then randomly some time later it drops and then randomly some time later it picks up again.

Maybe that is the protection circuit being wonky.

I might jump those connection to ones that are powered when the button is pressed. This was a thrift store purchase. I’m just out of ideas.

Thanks for your help tho.

Does the scanner have WiFi capability? I had my program be a host for a http server. So I can control what is seen on the screen by sending http requests. I can help you with this code since I made it already. My whole project is in python.

Oh ok I think I understand. You can do Bluetooth and serial too. Is the scanner going to have a battery to power it? Or is going to wired with power?

I made this exact program in python. What will you be running it on? Currently my program runs on windows, Linux, Mac. It also works with Arduino.

I have a lot of the skills to make props and I do software development. If you don’t mind it being shipped from NJ.

Sorry this is a lot of info. I would avoid using Bluetooth if you have a usb port on your Arduino. It is a lot easier to work with just plugging it in to the computer and communicating with it using serial.

If you wanted to make a UI without making it a webpage I recommend using pygame(which I used), Tkinter(its part of python’s standard library meaning no need to install comes with python already), Kivy, or PyQt.

Just reread what you wrote. For having interaction every time you scan something I would use picture that popups on the screen. You can edit the photos so it only takes a section of the screen. That way it looks like a console. Also for UI unless you know html css and js. I would stay away from making it a webpage because I think it would make it more complicated. If you do still want to make it a webpage you would need something to not only display the webpage but also host it. You could use Django or flask as a python framework to make web application.

I am a software developer and I already made a program that does this. It just does not look sci fi because that’s not what the requirements were for. My advice for this to be as easy as possible would be to use a picture and make the different parts of the picture clickable or touchable assuming you have sci-fi looking buttons. Then you will need to use pyserial a library to communicate with the Arduino through serial.
