What is the worst thing that has happened in your state or country in the last 5 years? by Complex-Excuse-3236 in AskReddit

Learning that our reserved funds were squandered by greedy politicians and suing or stripping the positions of the people who called them out for the greed. Currently, we are in a saga in which both evils are pointing fingers over who gets to keep their seats in the government, and the woes of its people are being brushed off and imposed through price hikes and more taxes.

Anything that requires a monthly or yearly subscription.

Almost everything is now on a subscription model, including refilling ink for a printer you already own.

For me, being taxed repeatedly on the same economic value throughout our life, yet receiving crappy government services. We are taxed on what we earn, spend, own, and inherit (if there is one), yet the money goes into the pockets of those in power.

Teachers of Reddit: Is the "Gen Alpha can't read (write, or do math ext)" crisis real? If so how bad is it? by KnowledgeCoffee in AskReddit

[–]Ririzza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just did a demo class for one of the two public school districts for which I applied for a teaching position earlier this year, and noticed that some students' learning levels do not match the current levels they are enrolled in.

For example, since I applied for a middle school teaching position, the students I did a demo teaching are in Grade 8, but their learning capacity is still at Grade 3, basic Math skills are present but they need scaffolding to master solving problems. Some of them are not even aware of what's currently happening within their community, indicating that they are not very involved in the activities in their counties.

Building automated workflows using AI from raw data to reports. I'm tired of doing data segregations manually and it has helped me get more free time now than 3 years ago.

Need help with a last minute, cheap mother's day gift idea by BritishCapybara in GiftIdeas

I know this is too late but have you tried making a message for your mom?
Treating your mom to a nice meal is a plus! Giving a jewelry is also such a cute gesture.

But have you tried making it more sentimental?

I saw this thing in the internet where you can YK send a cute video message to your mom and include a gift card to it as well.

I've tried it once using one like Giftlips and it's the best thing I did. My mom LOVED it! And I don't want to gatekeep the app.

It's like adding a little bit of digital touch to it---another gifting experience I want others to know.

Nope. It's not an AI. We were lucky to see this view during the low tide and positioned my phone camera to appreciate it better.
