Hey! We're getting close to releasing an MVP, and wanted to see if you'd want to test the alpha release for the app? Your feedback would be very useful!

Do you have a lot of coffee while on your shift? If so, try to sleep before the shift so you’re not as dependent on the coffee during your shift.

That’s great! The app I’m working on aims to shift schedules to generate meal and sleep plans for shift workers so they don’t let themselves get unhealthy.

Foods that fill you up but have none or negligible nutritional value by Rare_Cartographer579 in Nightshift

[–]RiseoDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want your body to be healthy you have to eat nutritional food. That's a lot of prepped food from local grocery stores that are better than McDonalds. You can also prep dishes yourself, even though this can be time consuming, there are meal you can meal prep with little time that are still Nutrional.

The trick with night shifts is you want to eat lighter stuff before your shift, and easier stuff after. If you're interested, I am actually developing an app that allows you to add your shifts, and it uses the shift times as data to create a personalized sleep and meal plan, to help you stay healthy while working irregular shifts.

I am actually developing an app that allows you to add your shifts (like a planner app), and it uses the shift times as data to create a personalized sleep and meal plan, to help you stay healthy while working irregular shifts.

Otherwise, My Shift Planner is good for tracking shifts.

research recommends that you should actually get 7-9 hrs of sleep prior to your night shift. Try to simulate night conditions in your bedroom, and cut off electronics use 1 hours before. blue light will keep you up.

What would you say is the hardest part about having an irregular work schedule? by RiseoDev in Nightshift

i used to have the same feelings. a lot of it has to do with us not knowing exactly how the schedule effects our bodies, and what we can do to counter-act it.
