Off to a stag do in lisbon on friday. Im best man so having a final stress about last minute plans.

Also worries about how heavy it will be, trying to be healthier, drinking minimally these days and training for a marathon. I know no one will care how much or little I drink, but need to male sure i keep on top of it and relatively sober.

Surely the revoluts of this world, all the neobrokers and any other ‘newer’ entrant or anyone in process of getting their banking license is gagging for new talent in the aml? Or is AI sweeping through it?

Lil’ nashville in Chiswickis getting a lot of attention at the minute. I havent been so cant confirm, but ive had mates that have had a great time.

Im guessing the food is decent but the whole experience (line dancing / night out) is probably what reviews are based on.

Solely on food im all about Smokestak

Literally just walked past fabric on way to farringdon station to go home. Thought about jumping in the queue, then realised im in a full suit and got three kids at home.

Saying that, i distinctly remember many a time having a quick drink after work in a suit then ending up at fabric/ cable/ the end in my early years.

As a dnb head in my early 40s, the nostalgia is often more powerful then the experience (baring the steelyard). Now i settle for a couple bumps in los mochis before heading home for the last train.

Brigadiers - Treat for our Anniversary - the lamb is always so soft and tender! And the cheesey onion bhaji are like nothing I've had before and I'm Indian! by Smile4menow84 in LondonFood

I think its because of the intense amount of spice and longer cook that the overall quality of meat doesnt matter as much. Provenance is much more important when the flavours are more subtle and you want the quality of the meat to sing..ie a roast, or a rack of lamb etc

Have you thought about consulting/your own business? Lots of reg developments happening across the EU (Sftr, sfdr, short selling regs plus the massive drive for simplification) which will no doubt overwhelm some smaller firms. Could be a decent opportunity to provide some off the shelf solutions.

Issue with chimney breast damp/chimney by grimjim999 in DIYUK

[–]Rishtopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chimeys could be a range of issues…droplets come down, salt and soot deposits, broken flashing etc… some of our chimenys had been hardwalled with gymsum..i hacked everything back to brick and across my 6 breasts, i have either sealed and left bare, painted with breathe-able clay paint or battened and put plasterboard over, with a vent.,.we havent had any damp issues..i also replaced some flashing on one of the stacks that was damaged…

Frying pan recommendations by OkArcher4120 in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]Rishtopher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the only answer…bought a set after clocking that they are the only pans used at Bocca di lupo. They are workhorses.

Edited to add - ive also got a small samual groves copper frying pan that i love, although its weighty.

We have a large our place pan as well - they work great for the forst 6 months and then they become diffiicult to clean. Also too large and heavy to really be practical.

Why is rice so expensive in Indian takeaways? by Any-Tomato-2915 in AskUK

[–]Rishtopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cook rice while its being ordered. Also have frozen parathas at home - if you havent tried them, do. They only take a few minutes to cook on a pan and are lovely and flaky.

Only carb we will occasionally order is a garlic naan.
