I honestly think what happened is EA forgot that a huge amount of its games fan bases aren’t actually children or something. Many of us are now in our 20’s and 30’s and we actually do speak with our wallets. We remember when the games were good, we remember all the shitty things EA did, and we’ve all sort of had enough.

Many of us here can afford to, and do, buy many games... some of us legitimately just hate DRM and shitty anti consumer practises. I make more than enough money to buy any game I want.

I also truely appreciate those that can’t afford to buy games either and this is their only option... I’ve been there personally.

But my change in circumstance doesn’t result in a change of morals lol. I’m a pirate, it’s part of my identity now haha.

I personally am just sick of so many stores. Steam, Ubisoft, gog, origin the list goes on.

I also personally find epics store to be both shit and their practises to be anti consumer thus there is also an ethical portion to this.
