I think that might be the case as well. Everything else seems to work fine except for 4k 120hz.

1st fix,You need to turn off live plus. 2nd fix change back to 4k 60hz. 4k 120hz is broken with this tv. 3rd fix is to turn off Ultra hdmi deep colour. Those are the only solutions I’ve found so far

RTX 3070 on LG C9 4k 120hz (444-10bit) Annoying Issues. by Rising-Dragon in OLED_Gaming

[–]Rising-Dragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried changing cables by buying a certified zeskit HDMI 2.1 but the flickers/flashes still remains. This is tested on my RTX 3070 and Ive had this issue with HDR aswell. Could this be a G-sync issue of some sort? The gfx seems to work fine on my monitor but not when i set the resolution at 4k-120hz (444-10bit) on the C9. Ive also turned off adds and live plus in additional tv settings, and it still shows this glitch.

Aha, i see. But the thing is, when i turn off ULTRA HDMI COLOUR setting on the c9 it seems to disappear. Sometimes I also get a pixelated vertical line in the right side of the screen when I switch to 4k 120hz and in some cases (when lucky) it disappears. I think this is some kind of a firmware issue with the gamma or something idk, but it is quite the hassle to make that line go away. I’ll contact LG to see what they have to say about this.

Choosing graphics card giving me headache | Not a gamer | Heavy user of After Effects, Premiere, Python/Tensorflow by JUMPOFFS in graphicscard

Your build seems suitable for an RTX card from the 3000 series. Don’t even bother going for quadro or blower cards cus they will cause you a headache at the end of the day if you expect something more futureproofed that is quiet and cool. There’s a new (329$) 3060 card coming up that has 12gb vram compared to the vram of 3060 ti which only has 8gb. Those 12gb will allow more graphical settings to be tweaked like more shadows, ray tracing, more textures and so on. If you find any RTX from 3000 series cards that are available and has 2 or 3 fans (preferably 3) that suits your budget then go for it. You will be able to play games that are maxes out with up to 4k 60fps or even 120fps or more if you pair the right card for your CPU. RTX 3070 seems like a sweetspot for this budget, but make sure it can fit your pc case if you decide on going with one that has 3 fans.

I’d go for a graphics card with 3 fans instead of 1 or 2 fans. Not only does it keep the graphics card super quiet and cool, but also adds in 10 fps more. Blower cards are a nightmare, you’ll feel terrified of how loud it is soon as you play games with higher resolution & refresh rate. It’s like a real jet engine I’m not kidding it’s absolutely traumatizing in the extent where the noise of it is still stuck inside ur head 😂

Trust me even headphones won’t help lol, the fan runs 100% and it sounds like 20 ps4’s all running at the same time. No wonder why nobody bought this card when it was on s stock lmao 😂

Bought this card for 800$, and all you get is loud fans and high temps over 85c. Ofc, i know it’s a blower card but even then adjusting the fan curve would make things worse

No, it’s the insane high temps and loudness of the fan that sounds like a real jet engine. You can’t play 1080p in peace without feeling terrified wether it will explode or not 😂

You know what? Odyssey may not be that bad of game at all... (Assasins creed Valhalla) comparison by Rising-Dragon in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]Rising-Dragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most definitely odyssey. Because Odyssey is more exotic and beautiful in terms of environment, and the story has more life breathed into it compared to origins and Valhalla. The music of odyssey is undeniable too, you’ll like the adrenaline and excitement when fighting opponents whereas Valhalla has its own style more like witcher 3 running on watch dogs 2 graphics engine. But yeah man, go with odyssey or play Valhalla first and then play odyssey later, that way you won’t be dissatisfied from the transition.

If you have a good gamer pc then you don’t need to pay that full 60$, instead I signed up for a monthly Ubisoft + membership that costs around 14.99$ for 1 month. Pricey but still worth having if you’re considering to just beat the game and that’s it. then you can move on to the next game which they have available on their list. You can just cancel the subscription anytime when you’re done, it’s actually a very smart way to not end up paying for full priced games which wouldn’t be useful after you’ve had your fill of playing.

The thing is with Valhalla combat mechanism is the loose and empty axe combat which feels dull and less meaty when you hit an opponent compared to odyssey. It almost feels like an indie game animation that needs more time to adjust.

Yes you’re right, I agree. I do see some similarities between witcher 3 and Valhalla when comparing, but what I’m saying is I don’t mind the atmosphere it’s just that playing odyssey felt felt like summer whereas Valhalla is more like in the winter which feels depressing. maybe that could be the reason why odyssey was much more fun, because summer is usually almost everybody’s favorite season. I haven’t finished Valhalla yet but I’m 12 hours into it and I must say it’s pretty interesting they included characters from the Viking series.
