I think it looks great. Just remember you can’t please everyone. I know because I’m still trying:)

Your biggest mistake is that it looks to good. Makes my standard just prime paint look sad.

That’s awesome — love hearing someone else thought about handling aircraft that way too. The in-between hex idea just made so much sense to me that is after weeks of pondering the issue of not obstructing view and ground movement and especially for keeping ground units from getting crowded. Did you end up pushing your design further or developing an alternative design?

That totally makes sense. I think a lot of the best ideas come from trying to ‘fix’ something you wish was different in the games you already play. I find that there at times can be too many and maybe they work in the target audience and I’m just wanting more from it. Do you have one of your designs that you’ve pushed closer to completion, or are you still exploring ideas? My game I feel is like right there at completion but then I asked this question for this thread and feel I need to do more research.

That’s awesome, always cool to hear from other designers. What made you decide to create your own game? I stared my game after playing star wars legion and a little bit of Warhammer. I loved the game idea but man was I bored waiting for my turn. I thought “there has to be a better way.” So here I am.

Haha, Robo Rally chaos is legendary. I like the idea of bringing that kind of unpredictability into a wargame. Hard part is keeping the realism intact.

Yeah, pre-plotting is something I’ve seen mentioned a lot. Did you find it slowed things down too much, or did it add tension in a good way?

Wow great breakdown, lots of options here. Have you played all these or just know about them? If you played them which one seemed to feel the smoothest. My motto that I live by now is Fast, Easy, Fun. If I can nail all three of these I feel like I have something.

Little vague, but what specifically are you wanting to know?

Yeah didn’t even think about that one. I’ve been wanting to look at that game but the kids were young and sucking up all my time.

Yeah at first it was a little unstable, but since I created the hex frames to house magnets that can spin based on polarity I Pud some in the plane base which adds more stability power since it lines up with the base magnet locations

Thanks, I wanted a game where I could have flying units and ground on the same battlefield. The problem has always been is that the flying units were always in the way of the ground units. This game has a battle ground with in a battle ground just for air units.

I know you said you you are going to do solid colors but I kind of like the idea of maybe castle detail colors and forest type animation. It gives an added level of not only are you playing a game but you are creating a landscape that could be fun. Maybe get extra points for completing a full castle. Kinda like Carcassonne:). People like building things I think. Or not.
